Tuesday February 12th, bake sale for the Costa Rica bike project in the main hall.
Students in the tourism program in partnership with Frederick Martin are working on a project to send bicycles to Costa Rica. They need to raise money for printing posters as well as shipping the bikes to Costa Rica.
Bring your coffee, buy a muffin and contribute to a very good cause.


Valentine's day Valentines Day Activities:  On Thursday February 13th, SLCSA will hold a rose sale throughout the day. As well, gifts will be offered to the students for free. During lunch time, students will have the opportunity to take part in different games, such as "find your matching card" game, and a "couple spaghetti eating contest". Many prizes will be offered to the winners!!

Highly involved students should look into Laval's scholarship program"Bourses de leadership et développement durable".  

Various sectors are represented: Arts, entrepreneurship, sports, humanitarian, social and environment. You must apply for this scholarship before March 15. Only students who have submitted their application form for their universiy by March 1 are eligible.

 

Stock Market Simulation
Concours BOURSTAD !
You want to learn more about the stock market? Here is your chance!  Bourstad (www.bourstad.ca) is a friendly stock market simulation organized by College Rosemont.  You create a portfolio and play with it for 8 weeks. Prizes will be given to the best managed portfolio.  Cost per person is $15.  If you wish to participate and play against other colleges, please MIO Karina Brassard to get your access code and instructions.  There is still time to register but you must act fast!  The simulation starts February 10th and ends April 11th, 2014.

Le Club de vol à voile de Québec (CVVQ) est une association sans but lucratif dont la mission est de promouvoir le vol en planeur.

 

Dans le cadre de ses activités et en collaboration avec l'Association canadienne de vol à voile, notre Club offre aux étudiants et étudiantes à plein temps (de moins de 25 ans) la chance de gagner des bourses de mille dollars (1 000$) pour couvrir leur frais de vol.

 

Pour se qualifier, les intéressés(es) doivent soumettre leurs candidatures en remplissant le formulaire que vous trouverez en pièce jointe et en suivant les instructions précisées.

A last-minute information session has been organized and will take place at Cégep de Sainte-de-Foy on Tuesday, February 11 at 18:00 in room B-140.


An admission officer from the Faculty of Medicine will explain how to apply and will go over the selection process. She will also answer questions future applicants may have. Students from other CEGEPS may attend (first-year or graduating students as well). Feel free to invite your parents if they also have questions. An internal selection process will take place earlier though (even if file is not completed online) since we must select one candidate per category among the three Champlain campuses.

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR - THE DRAGONS' DEN 2014 AUDITION TOUR! 
Auditions for CBC's hit show in Quebec City February 14 from 10:00-16:00

- Time to polish up those pitches; DRAGONS' DEN producers are hitting the road this January to find the brightest business ideas in Canada. Open auditions are coming to Quebec City at the Hilton Quebec, Beauport Room (1100 Boulevard Rene-Levesque Est.) on February 14 from 10:00-16:00. Complete audition dates and locations are listed below. Tour dates will continue to be updated on the website at www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/auditions.

The audition tour welcomes participants of all ages, with no prior television experience required. With the highly-rated 'All-Student' episode and the recent launch of Kevin O'Leary's Future Dragon Fund, DRAGONS' DEN continues to seek out and support young Canadian entrepreneurs.

 

Aspiring entrepreneurs should be prepared to pitch their concept to the

DRAGONS' DEN

producers in five minutes or less. If they show the producers that they've got the chops to land financial backing for their business venture, they could be invited into the Den to brave the Dragons. Prospective pitchers are encouraged to apply online and bring a completed application form to the audition.
