New Students:

Please pick up your schedule and book list in room 235 as outlined in your letter of acceptance.

Your locker number and photo for your ID card will be available in room 272.

The bookstore is open in the library from 10:00 to 16:00.

A used book sale will be held in the cafeteria on Tuesday, January 14th between 11:00 and 14:00.

 

Returning students:

Your book list will be available on OMNIVOX  and the bookstore will be openfrom10:00 to 16:00 for you. We will no longer print transcripts or bookstore lists for students.

 

A used book sale will be held down in the cafeteria from12:00 to 14:00 on Tuesday, January 15th.

USED BOOK SALE:
NEED CASH?  WANT TO GET RID OF YOUR OLD TEXT BOOKS?    WANT TO BUY YOUR TEXT BOOKS FOR LESS?
ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 14TH, 2014  from 11:00 to 14:00 a used book sale will be organized down in the cafeteria. No fees. Just make your reservation in room 272 or by email: jgosselin@slc.qc.ca. You just come with your books.

A MEN'S BB OPEN TRY-OUTS
BBCamp Basket and ball
The A men's basktball team is looking for players and will be holding open try-outs on the following days next week: 
Tuesday, January 14th and Thursday, January 16th from 16:45 to 18:45. 

Recruiting for the 2014 Annual Pentathlon des Neiges has begun.
Penthathlon 2013 JOIN OUR TEAMS!

Recruiting for the most prestigious winter sports event in Canada has begun. Runners, Nordic skiers, hockey players, speed skaters and cyclists alike are all invited to join.  You may participate individually or form your own team of 3-5 people.

ULTIMATE FRISBEE WINTER 2014
Thursday evenings beginning January 30th.  

 

 

The Ultimate Frisbee activity will again be offered this winter.
Thursdays at Stade Telus, Laval University.

Due to the large number of registrations, there will be two groups playing between 19:30 and 22:00. (The schedule will be established the first week of activities.)

The activity will begin on January 30th for a period of 12 weeks ending April 17.

The cost will be $38/participant.
To register, please come to room 272.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OPEN HOUSE
Open House Wednesday, January 22, 2014
If you like meeting people and helping out, we would love to have you on board! We need volunteers to answer questions, talk about their experience and show visitors around.

Parents and future students will be with us from 18:30 to 21:00. We will be meeting a bit earlier to go over the various tasks and will make sure you don't go hungry! As usual, we will have a pizza dinner for our volunteers.

You are what makes St. Lawrence a great place to be and we would be happy if you could be part of this event. If you are available, please send a MIO to Kim Patenaude, Guidance Counsellor

Open Mic OPEN MIC NIGHT!
Thursday, January 30th  at 19:30 in the cafeteria.
 
What is Open Mic? Performers sign up in room 272 (student activities) and perform during showtime for a maximum of 10 minutes. You can perform anything you want: Songs, monologues, poetry, music...you name it!
Open Mic is like an easygoing coffee shop where students, teachers and staff live out their performance fantasies! It is open to all.

Jeunes Explorateurs d'un jour

Spend a day with someone who is doing the job you would like to do one day.
St. Lawrence is taking part in Jeunes Explorateur d'un jour and you can sign up for a job-shadowing event. You have up until January 30 to register  for one of the two job-shadowing days (February 20 for the health sector and April 10 for the other fields). This activity has been approved by the College. You are responsible for advisng your teachers of your absence and you will have to make the necessary arrangements for your class. Contact Nicole Anne Daigle to obtain your password to create your account.

Dental Aptitude Test

  

If you are applying to dental schools this year, you should know about the Dental Aptitude Test:
Students applying to dentistry programs in Québec this year should be aware that some universities will require that you take the Dental Aptitude Test before submitting an application. There is only one testdate left in February. The deadline for the February test date is January 15.
