One of which is:  Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos).  This is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. Our Mexican students will introduce this tradition to us.

Tuesday, Nov. 19 Travel Show. This activity will take place in the main hall 12:00 to 14:00. A few booths hosted by various ONG/Travel agencies will present various travel opportunities to students and answer any questions they may have.

Thursday, Nov. 21 Intercultural Lunch in the cafeteria  Staff and students are invited to cook and then present food from other countries from 12:30 to 13:30. The SLC community is then invited to sample these foods.

Friday, Nov. 22 Tea tasting/zen event.Tea tasting - 5 different kinds (a table in the cafeteria) + a "Zen zone" (pillows + deco) on the stage in the cafeteria.

It's not too late to participate in the intercultural lunch.
We are looking for people to share their passion for travel by cooking up a typical meal (we reimburse you for the cost of the food) and then serve it up to the rest of us. Its great fun and a hit every year!

You are all invited to share your passion about a country and your cooking skills. You can reserve your stand as of now by sending an email or MIO to Joanne Gosselin: jgosselin@slc.qc.ca , including the following: country represented; the recipe you plan to cook; the name of your partner(s); number of chairs and tables you will need; other needs: electrical outlet, extension cord and/or a/v support...
