SLC REACHES OUT

Thursday,October 31st is a day dedicated to giving back to the community. Last year, students and employees of Champlain St. Lawrence dedicated one day to make a difference by taking on volunteer projects that meet the needs of the Greater Quebec Area community. Students and staff are asked to look around them and see where they can help and donate some of their time or we can find an assignment for you. Come to room 272 to register your interest or your activity, individually or as a group and REACH OUT.

We look forward to this event so come and join us to lend a helping hand to our community. Engage your teachers in the process!

CAREER AND EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLING AT SLC

Nicole Anne Daigle, Guidance Counsellor, is on campus

four days a week: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 until 15:15 p.m.

Her office is located in the library, room 254. You may drop in if her door is open or schedule an appointment in person, over the phone or through MIO.

On Mondays and Fridays, you may see Kim Patenaude, Guidance Counsellor, if you require assistance.

DROP-INS for the fall semester:

What are drop-ins? Fridays are dedicated to drop-ins. Kim Patenaude will be available to answer questions about career or educational information on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary!

Important info on changes for access to the fitness centre.

As of August 2013, the fitness centre membership is included with the purchase of the physical education manual.You must show proof of attending SLC with your OPUS card. You will be asked to show appropriate identification to the security guard, supervisor or any staff member or teacher. If you do not have your OPUS Card with you, you will be asked to leave the fitness centre. For more info on how to obtain an OPUS card, please see Joanne in room 272.

Do you want to improve your grades? Can't get an appointment at the English Writing Workshop?

Then bring your work to the Peer Tutor Drop in Service. The Peer Tutor Drop in Service begins tomorrow, September 24, 2013 and will end the last day of classes. This service is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:10-14:00 in Room 340 (near the side exit). Louise
