| Studio Art: Painting and Drawing Students Exhibition | |
STEPHANIE PUCKRIN'S painting entitled "LEAF ON A SHOE" STUDY OF A PHOTO BY MELISSA NOËL is shown here.
Take a look at the latest masterpieces of the Painting students! "Final Projects" is an exhibition of the students of the Art and Aesthetics: Painting class. Our exhibition is on display in the hallway of the 3rd floor between the staircase and the exit and in the front display case on the 2nd floor beside the main entrance until mid May.
All students chose to paint an original composition or to copy a painting. Original compositions were done with a combination of a variety of references including personal and professional photos, postcards, books and sketches from reality, memory or imagination. Students copying paintings did so after a thorough analysis of the artist's technique, examining the brushwork, the evidence of layers of paint, and the artist's colour scheme.
Congratulations Art students for creating an ambitious exhibition of expressive artwork with a wide variety of styles and subject matter!
