Take a look at the latest masterpieces of the Drawing students in the 3rd floor hallway, from the staircase to the exit door. The exhibition will be up until December 20th.
Original compositions were done with a combination of a variety of references including personal and professional photos, images from art history, and sketches from reality, memory or imagination.

On Tuesday JANUARY 15, 2012 from 12:00 to 14:00 a used book sale will be organized down in the cafeteria. No fees. Just make your reservation in room 272 or by email: jgosselin@slc.qc.ca. You just come with your books.

Christmas Children Book Drive

Noël des Enfants - book donation November 26th until December 14th.   Too many children have no access to children's books but with your help we can put your slightly used children's or teen's books in their little hands. We all have them at home so bring them in. We are also giving tickets for every book brought in and you have a chance to win a prize.

Christmas Hamper You will find a donation basket in front of the reception desk or next to the student council office.

Please help us help them.  Here are the non-perishable items needed:

Canned goods: soups, tuna, salmon, tomatoes, tomato sauce & paste, fruits & vegetables; Dried pasta / macaroni; Cereal; Jello / puddings; Coffee / tea / juice (unrefrigerated); Mixes: muffins, cookies, cakes, etc.; Mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, etc.; Hygiene products (soap, shampoo, etc.)
NOTE: No homemade items or foods with expired best-before dates please

LEAVING US?
Graduating, moving or just taking a break in January?  
Sad face If you are not planning to return to SLC in January, please remember to empty your locker for Wednesday December 19 at the very latest. Locks will be cut and lockers emptied to make room for the new arriving students in January. It would be greatly appreciated if you came by my desk to tell me when your locker becomes available. If you have any questions or looking the the contents of your locker, please come to room 272 and speak with Joanne Gosselin.

Pentathlon banner 2012 Recruiting for the 2013 Annual Pentathlon des Neiges has begun.

Recruiting for the most prestigious winter sports event in Canada has begun. Runners, Nordic skiers, hockey players, speed skaters and cyclists alike are all invited to join.  You may participate individually or form your own team of 3-5 people. Last year SLC brought home two banners: Inter-collegiate banner in the women and mixed categories.

Chemistry workshop CHEMISTRY WORKSHOP

The chemistry workshops are now finished for the semester. They will resume on January 21st at the same time (Monday- Wednesday- Friday from 7:45 to 8:25). The location of the workshops will be announced in January.
