Students Raise Awareness About Diabetes on Campus
Last week, several hundred Duke students formed a blue circle to commemorate World Diabetes Day at Duke. The blue circle is the universal symbol of diabetes. The circle on the Chapel Quad was one of various activities organized by student-led global health and cultural groups to raise awareness about diabetes and other non-communicable diseases on campus. Duke freshman Nicholas Camarda shared his story about being a diabetic at Duke. The student body also had the opportunity to learn about various diabetes and global health student service projects. |
