"Open Closet" at Perspectives, Tues. Feb. 12th
STYLEDLIFE will be presenting Perspectives a check for $1,250.00 (or more), from our Summer of (Tennis) Love promotion last year! Two of STYLEDLIFE's core values are creating "Community" and our commitment to "Service", both in our store and by supporting the surrounding community. In our 6+ years of business, we've supported over 73 women-based organizations (73!). We're committed to help make the world a more positive, supportive & safe environment for all. "Isn't Fashion Fun" indeed!
Perspectives Family Center is a multi-services agency whose award winning prevention, intervention and recovery programs span three decades. Their target population is vulnerable, at-risk families and children whose lives have been derailed because of addiction, homelessness or mental illness.

Donations and volunteers are needed very much and your donations are tax deductible.
- Women's new or gently used clothes of all styles and sizes- especially plus size clothing (up to 3x)
- New or gently used accessories- shoes, purses, jewelry, etc.
- Volunteer! Help is needed in a variety of tasks throughout the day & evening, for any length of time.

Designer Focus: Kenzo

 Of the Spring/ Summer 2013 shows I have watched, Kenzo's collection (by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon) is by far the most courageous, daring and fierce. I want to go where these clothes are going. Not heading to Paris anytime soon? Not to worry. You can own a little piece of the runway courtesy of STYLEDLIFE's newest designer acquisition, spring scarves by world-renowned Parisian design house, Kenzo.
Kenzo's scarves are colorful and balanced. Some scarves have lively, exuberant floral prints. They would pair well with a neutral outfit, draped around the neck or even as a belt. They also have "duality" scarves - one side features color blocking and the other an energizing print. The best of both worlds!
I have favorite pieces in my closet that need a little energy and life. Adding a scarf can do that while putting a smile on my face. I get to wear clothing that always gets me complements yet feel like I'm wearing something new again.
My favorite way to wear a scarf is as a head-wrap. It looks retro and modern at the same time. It can work for casual looks: a collared shirt with jeans; or dressy: shirt dress, shift or strapless. A head wrap is good in any weather. Afternoon brunch alfresco? Cocktails at dusk? Everyone will look at you and think, "Why didn't I think of that?" It never goes out of style. |

New product focus: MZ Wallace Spring 2013 handbags

 I've never been afraid of color. I want my latest favorite color to either be the star of my outfit or to play off another color that makes them both better.
Your handbag is an accessory- true; but it can also be the key piece of your outfit that brings everything together. MZ Wallace's Spring 2013 color palette has coral, bright yellow, kelly green, electric blue, indigo, almond and iceberg. The electric blue "Hayley" looks fresh with a black top, white pants and orange flats for lunch and shopping with your best friend. Date night anyone? The coral "Jesse" is oh-so feminine and timeless with a light pink dress.
Need further inspiration? The world-renowned authority on color is Pantone. You may have heard about them when it was announced that emerald was the color of the year for 2013. The kelly green "City Tote" would be casual chic with a red striped sweater, beige suit jacket and trousers for work. Your handbag carries and does so much everyday; why not make it the star of your outfit?

Our beloved & super-fun Talley Singer has taken an amazing position in the jewelry industry. As we wish her the best in her new endeavors, she leaves behind a crew of grateful and heartbroken co-workers who will miss her dearly, as will many customers who have worked with her.
