Don't Handicap Your Own Business-

Bring in a Good Bookkeeper

Owning and operating a small business is an exciting venture. However, it poses its own unique challenges. Accounting is central to running a small business, but unless the business is an accounting firm, most entrepreneurs are not professional accountants.

The heart of accounting is bookkeeping. Keeping a record of receipts and expenditures is critical for any business. It's also very time-consuming; in fact, the more successful a business is, the more work hours that must be devoted to posting its ledger. A business owner just starting out will likely choose to handle the books personally. This works in the beginning, but as the business grows it takes time away from what the business owner does best - running the actual business!

The clear solution is to find a specialist to handle the books. Out-sourcing bookkeeping to Off-Site Business Services is a great solution - the small business gains the benefit of a professional bookkeeper without the expense of an additional employee. With an Off-Site professional, the business doesn't even have to devote additional work space.

Not only can we save work hours, we can also help streamline the bookkeeping process. Because there's no legal requirement for managing the books save accuracy, there's no one standardized system. Our experienced bookkeepers are familiar with a variety of bookkeeping systems and can develop one that best suits a small business' needs.

Stealing More Than The Secret Recipe -

Free Webinar on Identifying and Safeguarding Against Business Fraud

A staggering number of businesses falter and even fail because someone on the inside - an employee, vendor or even a partner - steals money, goods, data or intellectual property from the organization. Learning the warning signs can help business owners prevent and detect criminal activity and implement options to avoid future issues.

Kimberly Shannon, President, Off-Site Business Services leads a panel of national virtual office business professionals in a free webinar, designed to help businesses identify and safeguard against fraud, on May 14, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm CDT.

Fraud prevention is a key concern of growing companies in today's market. For small businesses, the median loss due to fraud is greater than what has occurred in Fortune 500 companies. In fact, one third of all business bankruptcies are due to employee theft and American businesses lose 7% of their annual revenues to fraud. In this webinar, the panel explains the tools you can use to prevent incidents and address problems if they occur.

"App"roved for Use

Every month, we will feature an application that we believe works well with QuickBooks and can do likewise for your business.

Cloud Print

Anyone working with mobile documents is looking for more ways to easily print them, and Android device users are increasingly looking to Cloud Print for that singular purpose.

A relatively new app, Google Cloud Print is gaining attention as it lets users send any picture or document directly from their Android device to a Cloud Print-connected printer. Through Android's system-wide Share command -- which is available in most relevant apps - users can select Cloud Print from the list of options that appears.

Using Google Cloud Print, you can make your home and work printers available to you and anyone you choose, from the applications you use every day. Google Cloud Print works on your phone, tablet, Chromebook, PC, and any other web-connected device you want to print from.

A one-time setup is all it takes to connect any printers to the service; even printers that aren't natively cloud-ready can be connected with a couple of extra steps. A quick link and short video offer simple instructions to configure your printers to utilize this app. If you have a Cloud Print-ready printer (Epson, Kodak, etc.) or HP e-Print enabled printer you don't need your PC to be on, but for other printers your PC needs to be on.

The latest version has added support for Microsoft Skydrive; an integrated browser to print specific webpages; printer search functions; support for mail printing from Maildroid and Aquamail; and support for the Box.com service.

The Cloud Print app is currently free in the Google Play app store.
