The Learned Owl Book Shop, June 15, 2015
Kate's Corner

Happy Mid-June! I have to admit the life of a small business owner is never dull. One day someone is telling you that meeting you is like meeting a celebrity (thank you, Derek, for making my Saturday evening), and two days later you are scrubbing the toilet.

My work is never-ending and I love every minute of it. The only bad part is I'm always having to think six months ahead, which prevents me from really enjoying what is happening right now. So, I'm determined to take some time each day and live in the now. A few of the things on my to-do list for these moments are reading at least one chapter a day from a book that came out this month rather than one that will be coming out this fall, and enjoying my flourishing gardens in front and behind the store.

I hope all of you will take some time to breathe in the beautiful summer air and appreciate the fantastic community surrounding us. As always, thank you for your support!

Go Cavs, and happy reading!
- Kate
