Kate's Corner

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.
- Doug Larson

KateI feel this is a fitting quote for the month we just endured; however, I have high hopes for May. The flowers are blooming, the grass is turning brilliant shades of green, and everyone is poised for summer. As this season approaches, you can rest assured that we have all the graduation and Mother's Day gifts that you may need.

This year May also means a full dose of the bestselling author Tracy Chevalier. She will be appearing first at the Hudson Library on the evening of May 16th, and then returning to Hudson one week later on the afternoon of May 23rd for a fundraising event at Case-Barlow Farm. We are so honored to have Tracy take such an interest in Hudson and the history we are all so proud to share.

With spring comes new life and new opportunities - we are also very excited to introduce our summer writing workshop series that will begin in June. We will have guest authors leading a different writing workshop each month for anyone looking to improve their writing skills. We are also working on our children's summer reading groups, so stay tuned for more fun programs to come.

As always, thank you for your support, and happy reading!

- Kate
