As most of you know, this coming Wednesday is the Costa Verde International School's (CVIS) annual fundraiser dinner.  We've seen a banner with camels strung across the entrance to town as well as heard rumors of some pretty far out entertainment planned for the evening.  El Sayulero caught up with Kathy Nicoletti, CVIS Director to learn a little more about what to expect and why you should attend.

Kathleen: CVIS is about seeing children and families for who they are-their learning styles, personalities, strengths and desires.  Our goal is to provide a truly bilingual, green education to children and have those children love every minute of it. We want children and their families to be inspired by what they are learning and to understand that they can make the world a better place.

Our first neighborhood in Sayulita was also home to a free-roaming gang of gallos. It was never clear to us if they belonged to anyone or if we (the people) belonged to them. For those first weeks, the rooster's 4:00 AM wake-up call would leave me lying in bed, plotting what to put in my chicken soup!
