Greetings to our 8,533 subscribers
 Sayulita celebrated Valentines day yesterday with plenty to do last night with your sweetheart! Restaurants and bars were filled with couples celebrating the occasion and even single friends were gathering together. In Mexico, Valentine's Day is also known as "Dia de Amor y Amistad", Love and Friendship Day, so even if you were single, you could celebrate and enjoy some of the entertainment in town last night. I love Valentine's day in Sayulita particularly because on every corner there are beautiful bouquets of flowers to be sold. The streets were definitely beautified with traditional roses and elaborate flower arrangements.
Sayulita Days are almost here! The baseball field where the fair sets up is starting to fill with rides and games. This weekend will kick off the fair which runs through February 24th, Mexico's flag day. If you are in Sayulita, bring the whole family to the fair where there is something for everybody!

Sayulita celebro el d�a de San Valent�n ayer y hab�a mucho que hacer por la noche con tu pareja! Restaurantes y bares estaban llenos de parejas que celebraron la ocasi�n y incluso solteros que querian reunirse con amigos. En M�xico, el D�a de San Valent�n tambi�n es conocido como "D�a de Amor y Amistad", por lo que incluso si eres soltero, puedes celebrar y disfrutar de algunos de los espect�culos en el pueblo. Me gusta el d�a de San Valent�n en Sayulita porque en cada esquina hay hermosos ramos de flores que se venden. Las calles estaban embellecidas con rosas y arreglos tradicionales flores.
D�as de Sayulita est�n casi aqu�! El campo de b�isbol donde la feria establece empieza a llenar con maquinas y juegos. Este fin de semana dar� inicio a la feria que se extiende hasta 24 de febrero, d�a de la bandera de M�xico. Si estas en Sayulita, trae toda la familia a la feria. Hay algo para todos.

 I met Hortencia quite by accident at the gym one morning when I first came to Sayulita, but have since come to know and love her for her strength, beauty, purpose, and dedication to her family. "Tencha" was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and spent virtually all of her childhood there. Some of her favorite memories are of the sports club where she played soccer and tennis. Always athletic, she still plays soccer, surfs when she has time, and runs on the beach. If you're out early enough, you may see Tencha running with her chihuahua, Clarita. Kids Perform For New Computer Room

The primary school held an enormous skate boarding event on Thursday, February 14, 2013 to help raise $20,000 pesos to build a new technology center at the school. Recently 15 new computers were donated, but there was not a room with enough wiring or desks to set it up. After getting the estimate, the parent association, with president Borrego leading the group, put together a day of skate boarding, food, and music for the community. More

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the performance will start at 7 p.m. A donation of $200 pesos (payable at the door) is requested, with all proceeds going to Bahia de Banderas' effort to assist women who are victims of domestic violence. "Lite" means there will not be a dinner, there will, however, be appetizers and a cash bar. Come join us and help support women and families in the state of Nayarit, who have been affected by domestic violence.

Pueblo Magico: Parking and Sidewalk Eating

This is a delicate issue because my friends who own the big restaurants that are paying rent and maintenance do not enjoy seeing fast-sprouting eateries putting tables out in public space for free while taking away valuable parking spaces. Date: Friday February 22 - February 24
San Pancho has announced their annual 3-day Music Festival will be held Friday, Feb.
22nd through Sunday, Feb. 24th in San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico. The Music Festival is celebrating it's 13th year, and as always there will be no charge to the public. The Music Festival will feature performing artists from the region of Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, as well as musicians from the United States and Latin America. The event will begin at 5pm each day, with performances up until 11pm each night.

Coco is a beautiful male, 6 month old, orange kitty. He was found on the beach in Punta Negra with a broken leg. His leg healed on its own so he may continue his life with a cute limp. Coco would love to find a safe and loving home due to his injured front leg. He is shy, but once he gets to know you he warms up and loves being cuddled. To the Aztecs and Mother Earth.
She is Aztec Princess and Fierce Warrior.
Proud Mother and Innocent Child.
Modern day Mexicana and ancient abuelita.
Connected to the One by the Spirit of the All.

More beautiful by far than the flower she is named for.
