Greetings to our 8,701 subscribers,

With visitors abound "high season" is now in full-swing in Sayulita and the town is bustling with locals and vacationers soaking up the sun and splashing in the waves. There has been a big influx in tourism in the past week with some great wedding groups in town. The weather has been beautiful! Though the days are definitely tropical the evenings have been cool and breezy. It's a great time to be in Sayulita!

Gentry In a the November issue of Gentry magazine, Sayulita received a stellar write-up about the village and some of our great local businesses where Sayulita is described as one of the best kept secrets. Our town on a whole definitely received great kudos in this publication, though businesses such as Rollie's "Breakfast in Paradise" and Miro Vino received some extra special mention. SayulitaLife.com received a great center localtion with the following quote:

"The picturesque fishing village of Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico nestles in a gentle palm tree-lined bay just 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta airport, offering visitors and residents incredible beaches, lush jungles, and a taste of rural Mexico in an incredibly safe environment. With cobblestone streets hosting dogs, chickens, and playing children, Sayulita is a half-century away from nearby Puerto Vallarta."

Saludos a nuestros 8,701 lectores

Question of the Week:
"What are your favorite Sayulita pastimes?"

By Nicki Cooper

"Dancing, drinking, and...

At home I do arts and crafts like smudge (sage) sticks and ceramics made from local clay. I collect it, process it, dry it, wedge it, and pit fire it on the beach."

"Bailar, beber y ...

Last March, there was a huge tourist tradeshow headquartered in Nuevo Vallarta.  That was one reason the government planted miles and miles of new trees on the newly landscaped medium strip between La Cruz and Puerto Vallarta.  They also hung banners and made the six thousand travel experts and agents welcomed.  And that was one reason that the governor wanted four towns to get immediate face-lifts-- with hopes that it could be accomplished by the March 26 deadline.  They didn't make the deadline, but a lot of work was in progress. Bite This: The Chile Relleno at Mary's Restaurant

Chile Relleno

So, the other night, four foodies, Janet, Ellen, Bambi and I, slide into a table at  Mary's Restaurant. We look at the menu, turn it over a few times and put it down. Lalo come over to take the order. Without waiting for the ladies to order, I blurt out, "Chile Relleno!" Rude, but effective!. More

Sayulitanimals: Funding Needed
For New Kennels

By Nicki Cooper

 Sayulitanimals

Sayulitanimals is not a shelter, but far too often dogs and cats from the medical aid program or the spay and neuter program have to stay for extended periods of time to recover and heal. The back area has not been set up for that, but it finally became a blatant necessity when sick dogs remained sick or got worse due to the lack of separation and available cleanliness.  More

Mas
