CALLING ALL CUB LEADERS!
Prepared to "get slimed" in 2016. Your help is vital and needed for a successful fall membership recruitment campaign!

Let's go and invite more youth to join Scouting this year. Come learn how and get resources to grow your pack at our North Star District fall recruitment training...
on Thursday, August 9th at 7 p.m.
at Lone Mt. Buidling

For questions contact Rachel Conner at 702.672.9237 or at csrachelnsm@gmail.com
or Graham Allen at 702.968.8121 or graham.allen@scouting.org.

How do I do that?

What is Cub Recruitment? School Night for Scouting?  Slime?  Hugh?  What does this all mean?

The 2016 School Night for Scouting (SNFS) is what we call our campaign to recruit young people to the Scouting family. The greatest emphasis is placed on recruiting boys who are in kindergarten through 5th grade for Cub Scouts. The North Star District will have Cub Scout leaders in most elementary schools at lunch times and after school on different days and nights for the sole purpose of helping new families join Cub Scouts.

Recruitment involves three steps.
1.  Lunch Talks - A scout leader will go to Elementary schools and talk with the kids for a couple minutes about scouts, then pass out cards inviting them to a sign up night with their parents.
2.  Sign-Up Night - Parents can come with their children and get info, ask questions and pay for membership.
3.  Activity In Unit - This is where the new scouts come to make slime with their new unit and start their new adventure in Cub Scouts.

We need your help.  Come to Unit Orientation on August 9th at 7 p.m.  at the same building as RT.  We will train you on the fall membership campaign and school night recruitment process.
