We need you!  Are you willing to give a little extra time?
Would you be willing to help setup Roundtable once a month, OR be a lunch time presenter in September, OR be a Den Leader Instructor at Roundtable?

The North Star District has many great activities throughout the year.  We need your help to run them.

Your help will be beneficial to the Scouts in our District!

Contact Graham Allen at 702.736.4366 for more information.

Congratulations to Mike Mitchell

The BSA Veteran award recognizes individual members for tenure in Scouting.  Graham Allen presented the Veterans Award to Mike Mitchell.  He has served in Scouting for 40 years!  Thank you Mike for all your service and what a great difference you have made in the lives of so many Scouts.

How do I do that?

Our pack is meeting during the summer and we would like to earn the Summertime Pack Award.  What do we need to do?

The purpose of the National Summertime Pack Award is to encourage packs to provide a year-round program by continuing to meet during the time periods when school is out of session.

A pack can qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award certificate and streamer by planning and conducting three pack activities-one each in June, July, and August.  Individual scouts that participate in all three pack events can receive the National Summertime Pack Award pin.

Here is a link to the Summertime Pack Award Application - Here
Submit the application to the Council as soon as possible after your August activity.

Chartering Merit Badge Counselors 2016-17

Merit Badge Counselors must re-charter (re-register) every year.

A list of Merit Badge Counselors will be delivered to your Committee Chair or Scoutmaster this week.  Make sure you get this list, review it and turn it into the scout office by June 30, 2016 (Or Sooner). Contact Ray Jacobson for more questions.

Please share your summer Scout Camp Adventures with us!

Boy Scout summer camp is full of adventure.  Whether sailing, canoeing, swimming, scaling the climbing wall, or riding a mountain bike course your Scouters will have such a great time this summer at camp.  After you get home and catch up on your rest contact Chris Peterson and let him know where you went and what you did.  Also, send us any photos you would like to post on the District Website to nicholewasden@gmail.com

District Eagle Boards of Review are every 3rd Tuesday of each month at the LDS church building on Lone Mountain. If any one has questions about them please contact Kris Alexander at kristopher.w.alexander@gmail.com.

We are starting to post the new Eagle Scouts on our District Page. Check it out!

Wood Badge
Wood Badge is Scouting's premier training course. Baden-Powell designed it so that Scouters could learn, in as practical a way possible, the skills and methods of Scouting. It is first and foremost, learning by doing.
