CSF Applications

California Scholarship Federation (CSF) promotes and recognizes students with above-average grades. To become a lifetime member, a student must submit an application and meet the eligibility requirements for four semesters or more. A point system specified in the CSF State By-Laws establishes membership requirements. Benefits for lifetime members include recognition at WHS Senior Awards Night and in the WHS Graduation program.

Applications and course lists are available in the College&Career Center (D9) or on the WHS website here. Students must submit their application forms for the first semester of 2016-17 to D9 by Friday, February 3. The submitted application packet must include:
  • Completed CSF application
  • Copy of the previous semester's report card or transcript.
Contact Zorina Matavulj at zmatavulj@seq.org with questions.

Advanced Placement Exams at WHS

Now is the time of year when we prepare to order the Advanced Placement Exams for students in AP classes. The testing will be at Woodside High School in the first two weeks of May.

Use the following link to sign up for AP Exams: http://bit.ly/APregistration2017

The AP students and their teachers have been working hard since school began to prepare for these tests and will continue to work and review with the expectation that all students will take the tests. The teachers will be expecting all students to review, study, practice, and prepare, and many teachers give practice AP exams that count substantially toward all students' semester grades (including those who will not be sitting for the official exams).

The cost for each AP exam is $98.
Reduced fees are automatically available for students who have qualified for free or reduced lunch. We also hope to provide some financial assistance for other students who need it. Please contact Susan Garcia (367-9750. Ext. 40050) for questions about fee reductions and payment.
In order to meet the ordering deadlines, all AP students must make payment arrangements by Monday, February 27, 2017. Payments are made in the Treasurer's Office OR by credit card using Infinite Campus.

Students who do not sign up and make payment arrangements for AP tests will not get the opportunity to take the tests. No extra tests will be ordered.

We are also willing to order and administer Advanced Placement tests to students who are not enrolled in the corresponding courses (including AP exams for courses that we do not offer).

Woodside High School Community Hall of Fame Nominations

The Woodside High School Community Hall of Fame was organized for the 50th anniversary of WHS in 2008-9 to recognize alumni, staff, and/or community members who exemplified or demonstrated the following:
* Leadership and peer recognition
* High level of morality/ethics/integrity
* Entrepreneurial talent or experience at Woodside High School
* Positive contributions to society, Woodside High School, and/or the community
* Overcoming obstacles
Our hope is that the inductees will serve as an inspiration for generations of Woodside students, staff, and community members.

Click here for the nomination form.

The deadline for all nominations is Friday, February 24, 2017.

The induction ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 7 PM, as part of the Unsung Heroes Award Night in the Woodside High School PAC.

Can you help us make the auction catalog awesome?

We rely on parents like you to help make our auction catalog one of the best around. If you think you have something to offer, we would love to work with you.

Here's a partial wish list of things we are looking for: sports tickets, special experiences, getaways/vacation homes, fine wine, party hosts, cooking classes - get creative!

Don't have anything to donate? Consider underwriting items that we can't get for free or being an auction sponsor.

Please contact auction chair auction chair Mary Jo Kloezeman at auction@whsfoundation.org if you would like to sponsor the auction or underwrite an event - it's a fun and meaningful way to get involved.
Drama Boosters NewsABO

We are in total full-swing! Rehearsals are taking place on a daily basis and our Booster Club volunteers are busy getting the word out through various means, stocking up the concession booth shelves, finding useful props and costumes, and building and painting sets. If you would like to find a way to contribute, reach out to us via our website. We will be glad to put you to work.

If you just want to be entertained, then be sure to mark your calendar. Our amazing Cast and Crew will be presenting "Anything Goes" in the Woodside High School Performing Arts Center on March 10, 11, 12, 17, & 18. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 8:00pm and the Sunday Matinee starts at 2:00pm. If you've ever attended one of the Woodside HS Drama Department shows, you know how good these folks are; starting with the Director, Barry Woodruff, to the students working the lights and moving the sets around stage, everyone puts there heart into their part and the result is magic. We look forward seeing you in the PAC in March.
