Drama Booster Club
We're in that limbo period after auditions and before cast announcements. So, time to prepare for finals! YEAH!
This lull allows me to turn my attention to the future cast members as well as their parents and other students alike who would like to be a member of the "Company" through backstage support. There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, January 12 at 7pm in the PAC for all cast members and parents and crew. This is a very important meeting, so please, once you know your thespian has been cast, or you want to work as a crew member, mark this date on your calendar. If you would like details about what is involved please email mayoob@sbcglobal.net and she will add you to the emailing list. With the lull in Drama activity, I also wanted to take this opportunity to extend a big, huge, standing ovation-like thanks to Tom Slater, who has been managing the PAC for 13 years. Tom has been a constant, steady, and reliable presence as Manager of the PAC and he has made the decision to step down from this role at the end of December. If you've been in the PAC for any function, you've probably seen Tom. He won't have been in the spotlight; you would have probably noticed him as the guy walking around with a headset on asking a question into his mouthpiece, giving some instruction to one of the stage crew, or telling an audience member they cannot take food into the auditorium. Tom has been a constant in the life of the PAC, and not just for Woodside High School productions and gatherings. He has managed all groups who rent the space for their functions. Thanks, Tom, for your dedication to the PAC and the Drama Department at Woodside High School. Fortunately for WHS, Tom will still be on the Staff in the IT department.
