foundationTired of the same ho-hum in your mailbox each day?  Well, watch for something different in the coming weeks: the Woodside High School Foundation Annual Report.  Already hitting the mail trucks, it's loaded with great photos and news about how your donation benefits our students.

As we launch this year's Annual Campaign, we would like to share the ways in which grants shape our students' experience in the classroom.  Some of the most gratifying feedback comes from our teachers who received "Teacher Grants" from the Foundation.  Here's what Ann Ken, our Librarian, has to say:

The preexisting "student use" computers in the Library were old and slow and continually breaking down.  In the absence of funds to purchase 38 brand new computers, we purchased (with our Foundation grant) SSD drives and installed them in newer "used" computers.  We have, in essence, bought ourselves more years of functionality at a lesser price.  The "newer" faster computers have greatly increase reliability and usability.  The Library Computer Lab is heavily used and it really helps to have working computers that do not continually break down and take 10 minutes to process what now takes 2 minutes.  All students and staff that use the Library Computer Lab have benefitted.

Your donation in the 2016-17 school year will ensure that Woodside High School is able to continue with similar improvements down the road.  We look forward to partnering with you again this year!

Woodside Volleyball Update

Tuesday, September 20th @ Capuchino High School

JV won 2-0, 25-6, 25-13. After winning the Del Mar Tournament on Saturday, JV confirms to be a consistent team and wins the third league match in a row.

Varsity won 3-0, 25-22,25-22,25-17.  Third straight League win for Varsity too. After a really important win vs Westmoor (Crevelt 14 kills and Cicchetti 11 kills and 5 blocks) in the first home match last week, the Wildcats win their first away league match of season.  After a  slow start the team performs well and leads during all the match. Three aces of Jesse Crowley close the third set.

Public Workshops: San Mateo Countywide Transportation Plan 2040

The San Mateo Countywide Transportation Plan 2040 (SMCTP 2040) is a long-range, comprehensive transportation planning document. The current Countywide Transportation Plan, CTP 2010, was adopted in 2001. Since that time, the county's population and employment have increased substantially, several major transportation projects have been completed, and many policies have changed at the local, regional, state, and federal levels.

The plan is intended to articulate clear transportation planning goals and objectives to promote consistency and compatibility among all transportation plans and programs within the county. The plan supports an integrated system-wide approach to transportation planning that gives proper consideration to the countywide transportation network as a whole, not just in its constituent parts.

This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and offer feedback:
