Purchase ADVANCE Grad Night tickets!
Grad Night, also known as Safe & Sober Grad Night, is a Woodside High School tradition for all graduating seniors. This all-night party is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where seniors get to celebrate with their class one last time.

Woodside's Grad Night Party will be held on Friday, June 9th, 2017. We have a great venue, and hours of entertainment will be planned throughout the evening.

Advance tickets are currently $50. For more information, to find order forms, parent release forms, and to purchase tickets, visit www.whsgradnight2017.com. Tickets can also be purchased/forms available in room D7 or the guidance office.

As the Foundation gears up for this year's Annual Campaign, we would like to share the ways in which grants shape our students' experience in the classroom.  Some of the most gratifying feedback comes from our teachers who received "Teacher Grants" from the Foundation.  Here's what Brook Darmarin, biology teacher, has to say:

"I requested green trays for use in laboratory experiments.  The grant allowed me to organize and distribute materials more efficiently, as well as decrease the average lab group size so all students have a better lab experience.  120 freshmen and sophomores in Advanced Biology benefited from the grant.  The grant process was easier and less stressful than I expected.  Thank you so much!"

Please watch your mailbox for our mailer, which will be heading your way in the coming weeks.

And while the Foundation's Spring Auction is still months away, it is never too early to get involved in this fun and lively fundraiser event. We are looking for people willing to solicit items to be auctioned off. Interested? Come to the Foundation Auction meeting on Tuesday, September 20th at 7PM in the MUR Conference Room or email auction chair Mary Jo Kloezeman at [email protected].

Junior and Senior Parents: reconnect with old friends or meet some new ones at the Class of 2017 Septemberfest or at the Class of 2018 Back-to-School Bash - few spots still available!

Drama Boosters

And the winner is....(drum roll please)...straight from the Barry Woodruff play selection process...this year's "Evening of Theater" on November 18 and 19 will be...."The Canterville Ghost" by Claudia Haas, an adaptation of the short story by Oscar Wilde. This entertaining comedy is described as "A rambunctious American family buys a haunted manor in England. But they don't mind....they don't believe in ghosts. As the ghost tries to scare the Americans out of his home, he finds the tables are turned -- he is being terrorized by the children in the family! A spooky comedy with some zany scenes, Oscar Wilde's story is also a sweet tale of the power of love." The students are already working hard, the Boosters and non-acting students are working hard on sets, costumes, and props, and the "techies" are getting lighting and sound down to perfection.

SO, mark your calendars for 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, November 18 and 19. You'll want to be in the PAC on those nights to be entertained by this fun adaptation of Oscar Wilde's "The Canterville Ghost".

Also, if you're a student with talent and you want to share it with your WHS community, try-outs for "Woodside's Got Talent" are this Thursday, Sept 22 after school in the PAC. Go to the office to sign up and get a form that you must bring, along with your talent, to the audition. For the rest of us, we need to mark our calendars, this time for Thursday, October 6, so we can be sure to be in the PAC at7:00pm to experience all this talent!!! We'll see you...at the Theater.
