Holiday Boutique

Calling all vendors & craft makers for Woodside's annual community-wide Holiday Boutique!

Do you or someone you know want to participate in the Holiday Boutique on November 19? Rent a table to sell items or share our email contact with someone you know! Woodside families and students receive a discount.

We're also looking for craft makers & bakers who would like to make and contribute a few items to sell at the Woodside High School-sponsored table. For more information on renting a table or contributing a few items, contact Joni Soderer atjsoderer@comcast.net

We hope that Back-To-School Night last Thursday gave you a glimpse of just how much Woodside High School has to offer to your student.

Were you, by chance, visiting a science or foreign language class with fewer than 27 students in the class?  Without Foundation funding, that class might be twice the size.  And, did you happen to sit in on a seventh class for your student?  If so, do you know that funding for that class (i.e., anything beyond six classes per student) comes from Foundation dollars?  There are so many great elective courses at our school available as 7th period - Urban Debate, Leadership, several computer science classes, and many more - that a "full load" of seven classes is a tempting for even the most jaded teen.  It's available, though, only when our generous families step up and support the Foundation.

Stay tuned for more information coming soon into your mailbox early in October to learn how YOU can help make all of this possible.

From the Weekly Update Editors

  • The deadline for submissions is now Wednesday at 4 PM for publication on Sunday evening.
  • If you are one of our regular contributors, you will be receiving an email every Monday night reminding you to send in your news. If you want to be added to the "regulars" distribution list, please email us at whsupdate@gmail.com.
  • Please keep articles short and focused. Include the event, date, time, location, and contact info, including URL if available.
  • Please do not send attachments: send article content in the body of the email. If you send us a flyer, we will include it only as a link to a downloadable document, so the readers will have to click to open and read it. They probably won't, so again: do not send us flyers.
  • Please spell check and proofread submissions.
  • The PTSA Weekly Update Editorial Team reserves the right to edit or reject submissions.
  • No special or additional editions of Weekly Update will be sent out unless the subject matter impacts the ENTIRE school population. Such special editions are exclusively at the discretion of the Weekly Update editors, the PTSA President, and the school administration.
