volunteerVOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEK

As the end of the year quickly approaches, the library will be swamped with the return of textbooks that have to be stored there for the summer.
Imagine how many textbooks your child has and multiply that by hundreds.
Anne Ken, the librarian could really use help as they have to be checked in and sorted by subject.  There is some lifting involved.

The dates help is needed are Friday, May 27Tuesday May 31, and Wednesday June 1.

Times are basically from 9:00 to 3:00 but if you can even help for an hour or so at any date or time, it would be very appreciated.  You can just show up at the library whenever you can make it.
GROUNDBREAKING INVITATIONground

You are invited to the ceremonial ground breaking of the J-wing on Thur, May 26, 3:30 - 4:00 pm, near the tennis courts and new gym.  A few board members, a few district folks, a few ceremonial remarks, and finally a few golden shovels.  Punch and treats will be available.   Students, parents, neighbors, press, and YOU are invited!  C'mon out!

J-wing is the $17M, two-story, ten-classroom building with new Robotics/Engineering and Chemistry rooms. Estimated completion date is August 2017.

End-of-year help needed
The junior class has two more responsibilities this year, and the senior class needs our help. We'll appreciate it next year when our students are graduating and these things are done for us!

Senior Awards Night

The junior class provides desserts and drinks for the Awards Night on June 1.  This is a fun event for the seniors as scholarships and awards are announced and recognized.  There will be about 400 people attending this event so we can use lots of help.  And next year someone will do this for us in return!

Please sign up to bring baked goods, drinks, etc.

Graduation lei & flower sale

The Class of 2017 will be selling leis and roses to graduating seniors.  We will set up early and sell through graduation on Friday, June 3. Most sales are between 9 - 10am.  We can switch off during the ceremony in case someone wants to watch the graduation.

Please sign up to help sell on graduation day.
