Fund-A-Need: Expand College Counseling Services
to find the right college fit for all Woodside High Students
At Woodside High School we believe that college awareness and preparation should start early and that the college application process should be as stress-free as possible. To support the students they are today and the adults they wish to become, we are looking to add to the college counseling services on campus:
- An additional part-time college counselor
- 9th and 10th grade focus on college major and career exploration using Naviance so that students have solid familiarity prior to college application process
- Small group appointments for juniors following the successful "March into College" series
- Application and beyond assistance for seniors, providing support insuring all documents are received by the college, identifying grants and other sources for financial assistance, interpreting the college financial award letter, and helping evaluate among acceptances
- Woodside High School graduate panels to share their college experience with current students
- SAT test preparation for the new format of the SAT
AND much more...
Let's raise $75,000 to expand college counseling services on campus!
Your donation for Fund-A-Need will be matched dollar-to-dollar up to $25,000 by a very generous anonymous supporter of Woodside.
Woodside High School Foundation 199 Churchill Avenue Woodside, CA 94062
with "Fund-A-Need" on the memo line.

DRAMA BOOSTERS
Well, the 2015/16 school year is winding down. Less than a month is left to the school year! This Thursday, at 7:00 pm is your last chance of the year to experience Woodside High School drama. The Drama Class's annual Student Run production will be performed for you on stage in the WHS PAC. Don't miss you last chance to experience the phenomenal work of our amazing Drama Students. There will be two separate and independent "acts" put on by two different production teams, both made up entirely of students. One is a dramatic performance, the other a comedy.
As the year winds down, I also want to take this opportunity to thank all the parent AND student volunteers who helped make this year's performances such a success. The Fall "Evening of Theater" and the Spring Musical "The Little Mermaid" were greatly supported by a volunteer staff that built, painted, sewed, sold and distributed sets, costumes, concessions and tickets, and publicity flyers. And, of course, we wouldn't be who we are without our Production Team; Barry, Kim, Karen, Karen, Don, Sherrie, Donna, and Tom - THANKS for a wonderful 2016! Finally, our last Drama Booster Club meeting will be on Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00 pm in the Wildcat Room. We've reserved this meeting to bring and discuss new ideas. If you've never come to a meeting, this will be a great one to attend as we look forward to next year and beyond. All are welcome.
