Parents who have students enrolled in AP classes!
Your students will use a Google form to register for their AP exams again this year. As they sign up for your exam, they will be acknowledging information about the procedures and expectations. These things include:-
Exams will not be ordered for students who haven't paid or made payment arrangements by the deadline. Just signing up for the exam isn't enough. Signing up is easy and it's what everyone wants you to do. Paying for it is putting your money where your mouth is.
-
There is a penalty for not taking exams that you've registered and paid for. Students who paid full price will receive at most a partial refund. Students who paid the reduced fee will be charged an additional $20.
-
Students who show up late for their exams will not be able to test or take a make-up exam. ("Too late to test" is after the rest of the students have broken the seals on their booklets.)
-
Students who have legitimate conflicts with exam dates have the opportunity to take a make-up exam. For some conflicts, this will involve a $40 (additional) fee. These students should see Lupe Robles as soon as they know about the conflict.
-
Students who are sick on exam day or have an emergency can have the opportunity to take make-up exams, but only if they contact Lupe by the day of the exam.
Paying for the exams is a separate process with many options. One option is to make payment directly to the Treasurer, Susan Garcia in room D5. The other option is that these fees can be paid through Infinite Campus with a credit or debit card. These options are described on the registration form. Students are encouraged to first register and then pay for the exams.

UNSUNG HEROES
One of the 8 Conditions of Student Success is "HEROES: Having someone who believes in you and is there when you need them." PTSA's Unsung Heroes recognize those students, staff, and parent volunteers who believe in someone or something on our campus and is present to help. Last year's nominees included the parent organizer of the printed calendar, the staff who eat lunch with struggling 9th graders once a month as mentors, and a student who started a club for girls who code. Please nominate someone in the WHS community who has been a hero to you or to your student. http://woodsidehs-ptsa.org/programs/unsung-heroes/

How are teens using technology today? Our students are "digital natives" -- they have grown up in a world of online access and ever-changing media devices. Every parent knows that it's hard to keep up with kids and social media. How can you teach your teens responsibility and ethics online? What is the best way to parent the "always-on" generation?
Join Gloria Moskowitz-Sweet, PPSC, LCSW, Erica Pelavin, LCSW, PhD, from My Digital TAT2 for a highly interactive workshop on digital trends, psychological responses to social media, and the impact of social media on the adolescent brain. My Digital TAT2 has worked with over 14,000 students throughout the Bay Area. They recently formed focus groups of middle and high school students who support MDT2 and keep their work on the cutting edge, sharing student perspective and voice.
Parents, students, faculty/staff, and community members welcome! Spanish interpretation will be available. Free admission.
Woodside Parent Education Series events are sponsored by the Woodside PTSA, the Sequoia Healthcare District, and the Sequoia Union High School District.

Dear Friends and Families of the Class of 2017,
Since freshman year, parents and students have been raising money with socials, rummage sales, football and basketball concessions sales and cash donations from our 2017 class families to raise money for the Safe and Sober Grad Night party. THANK YOU for all you have done to support these activities!
We are more than half way to our goal, but we have only 1 ˝ years to raise another $10,000 for this event to be similar to what previous graduating classes have held and to keep ticket prices affordable for the grad night party. We need your help to do it!
The fastest and easiest way to raise money is through a direct donation. You can mail, drop off or donate online to the Class of 2017. Please drop off donations at the Administration office or mail to 199 Churchill Ave. Woodside, CA, 94062. Make checks payable to WHS PTSA and note Class of 2017.
You can easily donate online using PayPal. Go to the Class of 2017 web page and donate there at: http://tinyurl.com/WHS17. It's very important to make sure you have noted that the donation is for the Class of 2017, otherwise the donation will go to the PTSA general fund.
Any amount is appreciated -- $25, $100 or more!!!! A donation of $250 or more gets your student a ticket to the Grad Night party.
