Woodside PTSA Weekly Update
April 12, 2015
Hello Woodside Family,

Monday and Tuesday are Testing days for Juniors.  All Juniors must be on campus by 8 am.  Any junior missing testing on Monday and Tuesday will have to make up the tests.  Grade 9, 10, and 12 should arrive to school by 12 noon.  Classes begin at 12:40 for all students.

PTSA NEWS

Volunteers Needed!
The PTSA is a 100% volunteer organization. Volunteers for the following positions are needed immediately:
  • Hospitality Chairperson shadow who will work to transition and take over independently with the January 2016 "grab and go" lunches for teachers and staff;
  • January 2016 Open House Co-Chairperson--will move to chairperson in 2017;
  • Auditor.

Special Bell Schedule Monday/Tuesdaybell

11th graders report to school at 8am.

9th, 10th, and 12th grade report to school by 12 noon.  All classes begin 12:40.

Pick-up/Drop-off Protocol

Parents, the parking lot in the A wing is for staff parking, not student pick-up and drop-off.  Thanks for using the Alameda entrance or the Churchill entrance for the bus circle or student parking lot for student pick-up and drop-off.


 

AS/AP Nightap

What a Night! Thanks to all who made the Woodside Auction on Saturday and the online auction last week amazing!  Special thanks to Auction chair Mary Jo Kloezeman.  We'll report the fabulous numbers soon.

Buy a Brick!  Be a part of Woodside High School--literally.  Your personalized brick, with your name and message etched into it, will be part of the permanent landscape at WHS.  The funds support the WHS Foundation.  Orders received before April 15th should be installed by June 2015.

Class of 2016

Our final obligation as a junior class is managing the sales of flowers and leis at this years' graduation. We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the sales of the flowers on Graduation day (June 5th). If you can help out by coordinating, selling, or distributing graduation leis, please contact Erin at goinbonkerz@gmail.com.


2017 Parent BBQ!!!

The Class of 2017 Parent BBQ kicks off on May 2nd. The Steinebel's are opening their home for our last parent event of the year! 

This BBQ is an important kickstarter to rallying the troops for ALL of our responsibilities next year -- primarily starting with football concessions (food, drink and grill sales), where we will need at least 20-25 volunteers at each home game.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, April 28 at 7pm at the Canyon Inn located at 587 Canyon Road in Redwood City.  Please arrive at 6:30pm if you plan on eating dinner.
