AP NEWS
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN to sign up for Advanced Placement Exams at WHS. The testing will be at Woodside High School in the first two weeks of May. The testing calendar is on the WHS website. The cost for each AP exam is $95. You must use the following link to sign up for AP Exams at WHS: http://bit.ly/1xVcElL AP teachers will be expecting all students to review, study, practice, and prepare, and many teachers give practice AP exams that count substantially toward all students' semester grades (including those who will not be sitting for the official exams). Reduced fees are automatically available for students who have qualified for free or reduced lunch. Please contact Kathy Soulard in D5 for questions about fee reductions and payment. In order to meet the ordering deadlines, all AP students must make payment arrangements by Friday, February 27, 2015. Payments are made in the Treasurer's Office (D5) OR by credit card using the IC portal (NEW SERVICE).
Students who do not sign up and make payment arrangements for AP tests will not get the opportunity to take the tests. No extra tests will be ordered. We are also willing to order and administer Advanced Placement tests to students who are not enrolled in the corresponding courses (including AP exams for courses that we do not offer). If you have any questions talk to your AP course teacher or Ms Robles in the Main office. |

Please send in your direct donation today(and become a Century Club Member), by sending in your check! Please make checks payable to WHS PTSA PG 2016. You can drop off or mail to us at the school - attn: Erin Stockford PG2016 Our final obligation as a junior class is managing the sales of flowers and leis at this years' graduation. WINTER DANCE NEEDS 2 MORE VOLUNTEERS!
The Winter Dance is in need of 2 more sophomore parent volunteers to help with the dance. Volunteers are needed from 7:15p.m. to about 11p.m. on Friday, February 20. Parents will work coat check, supervise food tables and clean up. The Class of 2017 fund will get half of all ticket sales if we provide the volunteers! We only need a total of 6 volunteers to make this happen, so step up!
RUMMAGE SALE
Start your spring-cleaning early and gather items to donate to this year's WHS school-wide rummage sale to be held in March. Our sophomore class will be selling items and all proceeds from our booth will benefit the Class of 2017 Safe & Sober Grad Night. Currently, we DO NOT have any volunteers to help organize and staff the booth. Our booth CANNOT happen if we don't get any volunteers. It's a great time to step up and help! Email [email protected] to volunteer and donate items.
DONATE USING PAYPAL
If you haven't already donated to the Class of 2017's Safe & Sober Grad Night through PayPal, now's the time to do it!
If everyone donated $100 right now, we would meet our financial goal! It breaks down to $25 a year, so donate it all at once or donate a portion of it. It's up to you.
Use your PayPal account or just go to the website to easily pay with your credit or debit card. To donate, go to http://www.paypal.com, click the "Send" tab at the top, enter our email address: [email protected], the amount you want to send, and follow the prompts from there. Please note that a donation made via your bank goes farther than using a credit card, which gets a cut from the proceeds. You can always use the form in the donation letter that was recently mailed out. If you didn't receive the direct donation campaign letter, please email: [email protected]
Have a great week!

COMMUNITY NEWS
YOUTH HEART SCREENING EVENT -
WE SCREEN YOUR TEEN FOR FREE!
WHO: 13 to 19 year olds in the Sequoia Union High School District
WHY: It is estimated 1 in 500 school-aged children suffer an undiagnosed heart defect, which can lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death. A typical annual physical does not screen for advanced heart abnormalities.
WHAT: Screenings take less than 30 minutes (wait times may vary) and include a health history questionnaire review, an EKG test, and if warranted, an echocardiogram. The entire process is non-invasive-no needles or x-ray exposure- and we ensure each teen's confidentiality, privacy, and individual modesty is respected throughout all aspects of the screening.
HOW: Your child must be registered in advance and bring their pre-screening packet and permission/release forms to the event. Please register and find forms at http://viaheartproject.org/register-sequoia/.
WHEN: Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 9am to 3pm
WHERE: Sequoia High School: 1201 Brewster Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94062
Our goal is to prevent youth deaths from sudden cardiac arrest and establish Heart Safe campuses.
Any questions, please call 800-284-0125 or email
