DRAMA BOOSTERS

It's FINALS week! And then the Winter Holiday! I've had reports, first-hand from the Director and my son who tried out, that Try-Outs last week were great! Barry Woodruff, the Director, along with Ruthie, the Vocal Director, and Kim the choreographer were all impressed with the quality of students who tried out. As of this writing, the final cast has not been determined, and so I can make no announcements in relation to that subject.
One announcement I can make is that if your student has made the cast or if your student is interested in working "behind the scenes" for the Spring production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", your student and YOU, their parent(s), must attend a MANDATORY MEETING onWednesday, January 14, 2015 at 7:00pm in the PAC. You will get a thorough introduction to what is involved in putting on such a big production and you will be invited to share your talents and time to help put this show on. There are LOTS of ways to be involved and I can tell you from my own experience, it is FUN and EDUCATIONAL. Believe me, you will have a greater appreciation for what goes into the production AND you will enjoy the show even more knowing all you will know after being a part of the pre-production work. We can't put on the quality productions we do without your help. Even if you cannot sign up to help, you need to attend this meeting so that you get information that you will want to have. So mark your calendars.

IN FACT, you can get an early start in helping with this production onSaturday, January 3 (and possibly Sunday, the 4th) with set building/production. Don Coluzzi, our amazing set designer, is getting an early start as he will be out of town and unavailable for much of January. So, no experience necessary, just your willing spirit and openness to following instructions and trying something new. Lunch will be provided. We'll gather at9:00am in the back of the PAC in the work studio. Please join us!

Happy Holidays...See you in January!!
