There will again be Yoga in the Park from 10-11am on Saturdays thru Sept 6th at Little Beach Park.
July 5th: Independence Day celebration and parade sign-up
Our Independence Day celebration will take place July 5th starting with a parade down Main St and then a celebration at Little Beach Park.

PLANNING
The Planning Department is beginning the process for constructing the new public restrooms located in Eagle River Park.
As part of the grant awarded to Minturn, a historic sign is being built for the "Historic Walk in the Park." The Planning Department is asking for local information and pictures of families who worked for the mine, the railroad, had a lettuce farm....the historic culture of Minturn. We are requesting stories to be included. All photos are welcome, and they will be returned to you after we scan them.

PUBLIC WORKS
Public Works has completed their DOLA Grant projects now have three 12-inch water main valves at Toledo and Hwy 24 to help further isolate the town's water system during water leaks. In addition, Harrison Ave has a new 8-inch water line to help move water around during water leaks. As a result, Harrison Ave. now has new asphalt.
All parks are up and running. Public Works will be working with the Town Planner on a new, public bathroom at Eagle Park.
Reminder: we have recycling for all metals and batteries.

TOWN ANNOUNCEMENT
The Town of Minturn is happy to announce the appointment of William "Willy" Powell as its Acting Town Manager. Mr. Powell will work on a half-time basis until a permanent Manager is appointed, expected to take place the first quarter of 2015. Mayor Hawkeye Flaherty says "we are happy to have Willy at the helm with his level of experience and expertise." Among Powell's duties are to stabilize government operations and relations, achieve town priorities and projects and assist in hiring the next Town Manager.
Powell recently retired from serving as the Eagle Town Manager for 29 years. Powell states: "I look forward to this new challenge and am excited to help the Minturn Town Council and Staff."
