Open Arts is THIS Saturday, Feb 1st

Open Arts is an open mic and open art studio held a few times throughout the year where youth perform and showcase their art.   It is not a talent show so there are no winners or losers. It is a live showcasing of talent, both musical and artistic.  Open Arts will be held in the FYI Backbay and Youth Lounge at 110 Church Street on Sat, Feb 1st from 6 - 9 pmWant to perform? Email us at fyi@fergusoncity.com.

This program gives youth the opportunity to earn a FREE bike while learning about bicycle safety. The program is for youth between 8 &18 who can commit to attending class for six consecutive Mondays. Apply Today!!!
Collage Workshop Saturday, February 8th
11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - FREE
Artist, Joseph Welch, will lead a collage workshop where you will use paper, mixed media texture, and other collage materials on large paper to create graphic expressions of important issues facing youth today. The project will teach basic design elements and allow you to come into the project at any level of artistic skill while still creating a piece that has a strong Pop style. This project will explore your individual thinking and expression. 
Joseph is an accomplished portrait artist, oil painter and draftsman.  His work can be found in private and public collections, including at University of Missouri, St. Louis.  
The FYAB Meeting is Tuesday, Feb 4th at 5:30 pm in the FYI Youth Lounge (110 Church)
Ferguson Community Service Program 
is starting soon!


FCSP provides youth an opportunity  to perform service work in lieu of incarceration or fines for misdemeanors. Site Mentors are needed.
Stipends available. Or if you want work done at your place of business or home, please contact us.
 We are looking for an energetic, self-directed, and organized intern to work closely with the FYI and the Ferguson Youth Advisory Board to assist in implementation & planning of our goals.

FYI is a not for profit organization serving the youth of the Ferguson community by encouraging them and engaging them as active members of the community, partnering with existing community youth programs, and developing programs as needed.
