It's a two-day golf tournament that gathers our telecom family for some good-hearted fun and fantastic food prepared by Sharon Lundgren of Volcano Communications. This year Vast Networks has generously stepped in to help coordinate the tournament and keep the tradition going. Ducor Telephone Welcomes Kirby Smith to it's Staff

Kirby Smith has accepted the position of Regulatory Manager at Ducor Telephone Company (DTC).  Kirby brings with him a wealth of regulatory experience as well as experience in advocacy in both the legislative and regulatory arenas at both the state and federal levels. Kirby comes from a long history in the telecommunications industry.  His tenure with the Rural Electrification Administration (REA) along with his history of telecommunications consulting and employment at Calaveras Telephone Company enables Kirby to bring much needed expertise to DTC's advocacy efforts in both Sacramento and Washington, D.C.

Kirby will assume the committee seats at Calcom's Small Company and Public Policy Committees.  Kirby will also represent DTC at CITC, and will be DTC's alternate representative on the Calcom Board of Directors.
