Greetings!

Can you believe that 2014 is almost halfway complete...my how time flies! Especially when a lot of things are happening.
Have you noticed the changes that have taken place in the City these first six months? The snow is gone, trees are green and flowers are blooming everywhere.
Changes have also taken place when it comes to growth in St. Charles. The first phase of University Commons is nearing completion, new tenants are present at Streets of St. Charles, construction is underway for some new housing in St. Charles, Wal-Mart has completed its expansion and the City Hall Garage will be completed before the summer is over.
Not only are we seeing a lot of great new development, but renovations of existing sites are also taking place. Smoothie King has nearly completed its building on Fifth Street, new stores have opened on Historic Main Street and the City has targeted key areas for redevelopment.
What this says is St. Charles has a vision of continued growth through both new construction and redevelopment. We honor our proud history and promote its importance while also encouraging new investment.
This month's electronic newsletter outlines how we celebrate the new while honoring our existing industries. From our Employer of the Year Awards to the welcoming of a new president at SSM St. Joseph Health Center...St. Charles knows how to celebrate long term business partnerships.
If you are looking for a community that celebrates success, then give our Economic Development Department a call at 636-949-3231 and see how you can be a part of positive change in the greater St. Louis region.
Thank you,
Mayor Sally Faith

ELTEK Hosts International Electro-Technical Experts
