Message from Pierre
I want to take the opportunity to say something about Gateway to Hope Tyler. Gateway to Hope is a place to go when somebody is down on their luck, for whatever reason. When they make up their mind that life should be better, there's a place to get renewed - a place to get clothes cleaned, a hair cut and a shower, help with an address and an ID and get a kind word of encouragement and maybe a reference for a job. Gateway to Hope has no handouts, it just has the tools to get them jump started. Pat Mallory is the Executive Director and her phone number is 903-752-9343. She can tell you a lot more and help you understand why this facility is so important.
For me, unlike some people, I consider the term 'local' very literally. I consider local people, people that live in our communities. I consider local business to be run by people who bank and hire locally, and owned by local people who support the things that add value to our community. Not just somebody that pays local taxes and doesn't participate in any other fashion in the enhancement of our local community. Gateway to Hope is one of those local endeavors that try to pick up those locals that, through misfortune, got to a desperate place so bad that we don't wish to think about it or imagine what it is like to get there. I ask you when you count your blessings, and there are some extra, to support Gateway to Hope. Whatever nominal contribution you can make will truly be for the betterment of our local community. Make your contribution to Gateway to Hope Tyler, P.O. Box 240, Tyler, TX 75710. Sincerely, Pierre de Wet

Elvis is in the Building
There's just no good segue from that letter to Elvis, but I'll give it a go... From Gateway to Hope to the Gates of Graceland, Elvis will be honoring us with a concert appearance at KE Bushman's this Saturday.
Donny Edwards will perform his award-winning 'A True Tribute to Elvis' at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday November 10th featuring his eight man band 'Fever'. For tickets, call 281.713.8140 and click here for more information.
So Don't be Cruel, just Shake, Rattle and Roll yourself down to Bushman's so you're not Lonesome Tonight.
