Message from Lisa Ferentz LCSW-C, DAPA

Founder and President

Dear Friends,

Although this is the time of year when the Institute takes its two month break, I wanted to use our newsletter as a way to stay in touch and to communicate my warmest and sincerest wishes for a New Year that brings you good health, personal and professional growth, joyful moments with friends and family, quiet moments for reflection and insight, and opportunities for new, creative, and exciting adventures! Since this time of year we are almost conditioned to focus on New Year's resolutions, I decided to offer some thoughts on that subject in this month's blog. I hope these thoughts are useful to you and your clients. Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you all in March!

Warmest Regards,

Lisa Ferentz

Please share this newsletter with your colleagues so they too may benefit from the valuable resources published.  Thank you.

Making Simple Resolutions last in 2015
by Lisa Ferentz, LCSW-C, DAPA

In addition to the noisemakers and fireworks, it's kind of a given that ringing in the New Year is supposed to be accompanied by a long list of resolutions that we commit to honoring in the coming year. They typically focus on self-improvement and are designed to make us better, thinner, healthier, wealthier, happier, etc. While 75% of us cling to our resolutions through the first week in January, the sad truth is, only 8% of us actually achieve our New Year's goals. I'd like to offer my own thoughts about what you could focus on and how you can go about accomplishing your resolutions for 2015.
