The University of Massachusetts Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and University of Massachusetts Medical School are jointly seeking full-time faculty for our dually accredited (MD and DO) Family Medicine Residency programs. The ideal candidates will be DO-trained and BE/BC in Family Medicine with demonstrated skills in graduate medical education. We are hiring for two positions: One at the Barre Family Health Center and one at the Fitchburg Family Health Center.
The Barre Family Health Center (BFHC) is the only rural residency training site in Massachusetts and the health center has been a well established practice for 40 years! In addition to being a residency teaching site for the UMass Worcester family medicine residency, we host students in all 4 years of the UMass Medical School curriculum, nursing students from the Graduate School of Nursing, pharmacy students from the Mass College of Pharmacy and graduate behavioral health students from Antioch College. BFHC is in the forefront of practice transformation achieving level 3 NCQA certification as a PCMH.
The Fitchburg Family Medicine Residency has been a key source of compassionate care for the underserved in North Central Massachusetts since 1978. The team of Family Medicine Faculty, Residents, and Behavioral Science Faculty recently moved into a new facility and our care model is based on team-based multidisciplinary collaboration. Residency Faculty Positions - Baltimore
The Department of Family Medicine at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore seeks an MD/DO faculty member for our 26-resident community-based residency program with 17 faculty. This position includes direct patient care, resident and medical student teaching, and administrative and scholarly activity. Demonstrated interests or skills in community medicine and population health/ preventive medicine, and practice administration are assets. We also welcome applicants with the skills to practice and teach HIV and Hepatitis C management in the primary care setting. We have a strong record of leadership development to support applicants with leadership interests.
Our Family Health Center has 33,000 visits per year with excellent pediatrics and chronic disease
programs, and NCQA Level III PCMH designation since 2011. Our four-year combined Family
Medicine/Preventive Medicine program with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Healthand other active collaborations, bring a substantial community and population health focus to our program. We have strong academic affiliations and faculty with regional and national leadership roles. Medical students from area medical schools also rotate at our site and we will begin a new longitudinal, integrated curriculum with Georgetown University School of Medicine in July 2016. Academic appointments with affiliated medical schools are encouraged.
