Aesthetician as Alchemist |
Part of providing an experience that clients return for again and again is doing something extra to make treatments memorable. A trend we've noticed lately: Spas and salons are distinguishing their services by making customizations for guests. This includes quick and beautiful adaptations to products in the treatment room, often using natural ingredients that boost benefits.
Our offerings are ideal for these adjustments:
- Add 1% to 3% Carrot Seed or Oat Kernel Essential Oils [Prima Fleur Nos. 435 and 443] to one of our facial treatment oils, serums, or masques for an extra measure of skin softening and glow.
- Or blend organic Rosewater [No. 701] or Chamomile Hydrosol [No. 702] into a clay mask for additional soothing and calming.
Think like a chef and find attractive bowls and mixing tools that can be sanitized, and plan your possible additions ahead of time so you're ready with options that fit your clients' varied needs.
To feel confident in combining clays, salts, and carrier oils with herbs, hydrosols, and essential oils in the treatment room, take a class from one of our favorite educators, Jeanne Rose. Jeanne is teaching her Spa Seminar April 26-28 in San Francisco. |
More Ideas for Unique Treatments
Increase the purifying properties of a clay mask with our Facial Soak Concentrate [Prima Fleur No. 1066] scented with a detoxifying face care blend, such as No. 6030 Deep Pore Blend or No. 6032 Purifying Blend.
For clients whose skin needs extra renewal, add the exfoliating power to a crème or foaming cleanser with our Rose Crystal Polishing Powder [Prima Fleur No. 1088]. They can be mixed in the hand just before cleansing.
If your treatments include hand and neck massage, add a single note essential oil to an unscented body lotion right in the treatment room. Let your clients choose from a few oils based on mood: rosemary, lavender, and chamomile are all good options.
