This 1st King's Day in over 100 years (!) promises to be an absolutely wonderful Dutch party at a great place with great friends and great food!

Directions You can click on "Driving Directions" on the left for an interactive map from your home to the party. Scott & Carlou's house is very close to our usual Armitage meeting place, immediately west of the La Encantada shopping center.

Go North on Campbell, Turn LEFT (west) on Skyline, go PAST the La Encantada entrance. Immediately take first RIGHT, Avenida de la Posada. Follow the road till first RIGHT again, N. Altos Segundo, all the way to the end. Their driveway is the middle one at the Cul de Sac, there are 2 large pots with cactus on either side (6730 N. Altos Segundo, look for the orange balloons).

Parking Please park on the side of the road on N. Altos Segundo, leaving the driveways clear.

Dress Code: Wear something comfortable and festive in Orange, Red, White, and/or Blue (referring to the House of Orange-Nassau, the royal family of the Netherlands).

Weather: It appears it is going to be significantly cooler on Saturday than it has been for the past few days, with daytime temps in the lower 70's. So perhaps wear something layered for a cooler evening.

Name Badges Your name badge will be waiting for you at the door.

Food Don't forget to bring the food item(s) you signed up for when registering for the event. There will be large tables available to put the food on.

Drinks  Don't forget to bring your favorite alcoholic drink (beer, wine etc.)!  Soft drinks, water, iced tea etc will be available, so no need to bring those.

On April 26 the Netherlands will be celebrating 'Koningsdag' (King's Birthday)!

His Royal Highness King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima will be visiting the cities of Amstelveen and De Rijp for this festivity.

While a visit to Tucson is not anticipated this year, we will certainly be joining the Dutch people in this wonderful celebration!

2014 King's Day in Tucson, AZ 

You and your family and friends are cordially invited to join the 2014 King's Day party on

Saturday April 26, from 5 - 8 PM

The celebration will take place at the beautiful home of Carlou and Scott Stubbs, who live just a few minutes west from La Encantada (Armitage). See address and map to the left.

To keep things simple, this will be a potluck-style of event, free of charge. Just bring something to eat (finger food-style) like a Borrelhap, hefty Hors d'oeuvre or something sweet.

Please also bring your favorite alcoholic drink (beer, wine etc). Soft drinks, water, iced tea etc will be available, so no need to bring those.

NOTE: This is a party for grownups only. The property has an unfenced and unsupervised pool, so for safety reasons small children little kids who can't swim and need to be supervised all the time should not attend. Teenagers, kids who can swim or babies who are restrained in strollers anyway are of course welcome to join the party.
