You and your family and friends are cordially invited by the Royal Netherlands Air Force F16 Detachment Tucson and NLBorrels Tucson to join the Dutch community in celebrating two major and very special Royal Orange events: Queen Beatrix's Birthday A.k.a. "Queen's Day" or ("Koninginnedag" in Dutch), celebrating her 75th birthday this year and her last year as reigning Queen and the Enthronement of his Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who will succeed Queen Beatrix to become the first King of the Netherlands since 1890! Please join us at this special event on: SUNDAY APRIL 28, 2013 This fun-packed day is not only in honor of our Royal family but also a celebration of Dutch culture. 'Queen's Day' is the Dutch most-beloved holiday! They celebrate the Dutch monarchy every year with a super big party, including lots of good music, (Dutch) food and drinks, games, a flea market and much more, all around the country. ... and in Tucson, AZ! Guests of Honor: Both LtCol RNLAF Maurice Schonk and Honorary Consul Mr. Siebe van der Zee (Consulate of the Netherlands, Scottsdale, AZ) will be joining us for this celebration!
Dress Code: Anything comfortable you like, but also try to wear something ORANGE (referring to The House of Orange-Nassau (in Dutch: Huis van Oranje-Nassau), the Dutch royal family).
