Z3200 Truck Pump
CORKEN has enhanced the performance and packaging of the Z3200 truck pump. These industry leading enhancements improve the reliability and performance of the seal assembly, longevity of the vanes and vane drivers, and durability of the product packaging. Improved vane design: 100% increase in leading edge surface area providing exceptional durability and longevity. |

60% stronger vane driver material: New material resists wear and improves high RPM durability. Extended life seal seat material: Provides maximum sealing performance and reduces maintenance. Individually packaged: Each pump is palletized and boxed individually for easier handling and greater protection during transit. Since the outward appearance of the enhanced Z3200 is the same as the previous design, the enhanced model has a couple of distinguishing marks. The first distinction is the model number. All enhanced versions of the Z3200 have a seven digit specification field following the model number. For example a Z3200HGA6PGE is the new configuration for standard flanges. There will always be a "6" in the fourth position from the model number indicating the new seal seat material, silicon carbide. Pictured to the right is an example of the new model number shown on a CORKEN nameplate. The second distinction is the ½" drilled countersink within the pump head on the same circumference as the eight head bolts. If the pump is mounted to the bottom of a truck tank, it is located opposite the suction flange in the 6 o'clock position. If it's still on the original shipping pallet it will be in the 12 o'clock position. For details on the countersink see photos below.

JUST THE FACTS - Flash Shield Enhanced Protection CSST
FACTS ABOUT CSST FLEXIBLE GAS TUBING
CSST lightning safety is serious business. Yet many myths and misconceptions about its performance remain. This piece is intended to help clear the air by giving you the facts you need to make the right choice for your next residential or commercial gas delivery installation.
MYTH: All conductive Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) is designed and tested to withstand most direct lightning strikes.
FACT: Gastite's FlashShield™ conductive CSST is the only product available that's third-party tested and proven to withstand nearly 95% of simulated direct lightning strikes. FlashShield's closest competitor is tested to withstand only around 5%.
MYTH: All conductive CSST meets LC1027 standards for lightning protection.
FACT: Gastite's FlashShield is the only conductive CSST currently on the market that meets the ICC-ES PMG LC1027 performance standards for multi-layer, conductive, jacketed CSST. The LC1027 testing evaluated the ability of the conductive CSST jacket material to withstand simulations of lightning voltage/currents that may exist within a residential or commercial structure. To date, FlashShield is the only conductive CSST to meet all performance requirements.
MYTH: This LC1027 standard isn't much different than the previous LC1024 standard.
FACT: In the past, the ICC-ES PMG LC1024 listing has been the measuring stick by which protective conductive CSST jackets have been accepted in the market. According to their criteria, conductive CSST must have the ability to withstand 4.5 coulombs of electrical energy. However, the LC1027 standard has raised this requirement to 36 coulombs of protection. In summary, the LC1027 criteria specify 8X higher charge levels and up to 30X higher currents than LC1024, making them the most robust listing criteria currently available for protective conductive CSST jacketing.
MYTH: Standards and certifications aside, all conductive CSST is created equal.
FACT: As the facts clearly indicate, when it pertains to lightning resistance, conductive CSST safety levels vary dramatically. That's why, in areas where lightning is prevalent, it clearly pays to put safety first by choosing FlashShield.™ It's the only metalically shielded natural gas piping system that not only meets, but exceeds standards for safety and performance.
Gastite® FlashShield™ Certification Training Now Available Online PORTLAND, TENN., U.S. . . . Gastite®, a leading manufacturer of flexible gas piping, has announced that their FlashShield™ Design and Installation Certification Course is now available to take online. The course is intended for industry professionals only. Successful completion of the interactive online course, in addition to your local industry requirements, qualifies licensed professionals to be certified by Gastite, and authorizes them to purchase and install the company's innovative FlashShield CSST gas piping system. "Previously, certification training has only been conducted on a job site or at a designated facility," Patrick Cruz, Marketing Manager of Gastite said. "We developed the online training option so that our customers can choose to take it whenever and wherever works best for them. It is quick, easy, and convenient." Though completion of the course takes about an hour, customers are encouraged to work at their own pace. It does not need to be finished in one sitting. Designed to work with the FlashShield Design and Installation Guide that can be downloaded, the course incorporates a comprehensive overview of FlashShield, which is the only system on the market that is metallically-shielded, features the highest lightning resistivity, and is listed to the ICC-ES PMG LC1027 standard. Through a series of slides, audio, video, and animation, the online program is organized into sections with a series of questions at the end of each section. Customers must answer the questions correctly before moving to the next section. Once the course has been successfully completed, the customer will receive a temporary license number. The certification is valid for three years. "Traditional, on-site training sessions are still available," Patrick Cruz added. "They are scheduled in advance, usually for groups, and conducted by a certified Gastite instructor. Whether customers opt for in-person or online training, our objective is to provide them with thorough information that's easy to understand and helps them do their jobs the right way and in a timely manner." For more information on FlashShield and the FlashShield Certification Training Course, visit the website at www.gastite.com, contact Gastite Customer Service at (800)662-0208, or at gastite@gastite.com, or contact Gas Equipment Company via your sales representative or regional customer service branch.
NOTE: Only certified Gastite installers may use this module to upgrade to FlashShield.
Here is how to get FLASHSHIELD UPGRADE CERTIFICATION or RE-CERTIFICATION training online:
- Go to www.gastite.com
- Choose the Technical Resources Tab at top of page
- Use the drop down menu and select Get Certified
- Choose FLASHSHIELD UPGRADE CERTIFICATION
Flash Shield is the industry's only metallically shielded CSST, FlashShield outclasses the competition by far surpassing the level of lightning protection required by LC1024. The metallically shielded system dissipates electricity and heat and two semi-conductive polymer jackets surround the layer of metal mesh for extra protection. Jacket-Bite™ fittings provide continuity with the metal mesh and NO additional manufacturer bonding is required; but you should meet all bonding requirements from regulatory codes and local AHJ's.
FIRST TIME CERTIFICATIONS can a
lso take Certification training through Gastite's Online Certification Course by selecting the FIRST TIME CERTIFICATIONS FLASHSHIELD ONLINE CERTIFICATION Link at the same webpage discussed above.

An engineer dies and reports to the pearly gates. St. Peter checks his dossier and says, "Ah, you're an engineer - you're assigned to hell."
So the engineer reports to the gates of hell and is let in. Pretty soon, the engineer gets dissatisfied with the level of accommodations and starts designing and building improvements.
After a while, they've got air-conditioning and flush toilets, escalators, elevators and so on ... and the engineer is a pretty popular guy.
One day, God calls Satan on the telephone.
"So, how's it going down there in hell?" God says.
"Hey, things are going great. We've got air-conditioning and flush toilets and escalators. There's no telling what our engineer is going to come up with next!" Satan says.
"What? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake - he should have never gotten down there. Send him back immediately!" God says.
"No way! I like having an engineer on the staff - I'm keeping him!" Satan says.
"Send him back up here or I'll sue!" God says.
Satan laughs uproariously and answers:
"Yeah, right. And just where are you going to get a lawyer?"

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?" The crow answered, "Sure, why not." So the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow and rested.
A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.
Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.
