Happy Memorial Day
|
Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces. The holiday, which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who died while in the military service.
Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day; Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans.
It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.
Norman Schwarzkopf

ZVG 2 EURO UL Autogas Nozzle
ELAFLEX
This is NOT an ACME threaded nozzle
| |
New Generation LPG Dispensing Nozzle
Elaflex has been providing refueling equipment for Autogas dispensers for thirty years. The long term experience gained in these markets has enabled Elaflex and GasGuard to develop the ZVG 2 nozzle range, utilizing a modular construction for different coupling types.
The most advanced system is the EURO 'push-on' connection to European Standard EN 13760 and UN R 67. Compared to common threaded couplings, EURO connectors incorporate a variety of advantages, such as easy one-handed operation, enhanced safety features and very low gas release upon uncoupling.
After successful introduction of the ZVG 2 EURO to Europe in 2009, Elaflex recently gained the UL certification. This special type for the North American market is called ZVG 2 EURO UL.
Operational Safety
The construction of ZVG 2 EURO UL prevents a discharge of LPG to the atmosphere when the nozzle is not correctly coupled. When uncoupling, the captured pressure is released before the nozzle separates from the fill point to inhibit blow-backs.
Feel the Difference
ZVG 2 EURO UL is easy and comfortable to use:
- effortless single-handed operation
- low weight of 3.1 lbs. ( 1.41 kg ) including swivel
- ergonomic contoured composite lever
- low hold-open force
- durable easy-rotating swivel for improved handling
The nozzle retains its feeling of solidity and safety whilst being low-weight and easy to handle, thus creating a better refueling experience.
The ZVG 2 EURO UL is fully repairable by authorized service personnel and assures a long, hassle-free lifetime at low costs.
Options and Accessories
The Elaflex Nozzle Booth NB-ZVG of aluminium for dispensers is easy to mount and serves for an optimal fit of the nozzle.
A Reed contact switch can be attached to the rear side of the nozzle booth.
To establish contact-less on- and-off switching of the dispenser, the nozzle is fitted with a block Magnet (additional product code M) in the nozzle guard.

CONTEGO Fire Barrier Paint
Intumescent Latex (thin film) Passive Fire Barrier Paint
|
The product is a white, flat-finish coating with a nominal viscosity of 125 KU and a pH of 8.0 - 8.5.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT:
The product can be applied with an airless sprayer (recommended psi 1,200 - 2,400, tip size 25 - 50, positive displacement) or by roller, brush, or mitt. Recommended thickness depends on the substrate and the level of protection needed. See test data for recommendations, or call the manufacturer for technical assistance.
GENERAL:
The product polymerizes to all tested substrates and accepts top coating with alkyd, acrylic, or latex paint without loss of fire protective qualities.
Fire resistant materials are used to increase the survivability of building materials in the event of a fire and create a safe structure. Intumescent fire-resistant coatings, some of which are applied like paint, are a relatively new option for marketers.
During a fire, intumescent coatings and technology (like intumescent caulk) can protect steel and other substrates from direct exposure to flames and dangerously high temperatures. However, a coating's fire protection is based on its adhesion - or how well it sticks to a substrate - and its cohesion - or how well the coating holds together.
Adhesion is tested in two ways: by tape test or pull-off adhesion test. During a tape test, cross cuts or ribbon cuts are made in a coated surface. A special tape is used to try to pull off the paint. The pull-off adhesion test, which is the industry's more definitive test, evaluates adhesion by placing a steel plug on the coated surface. A large amount of pressure is applied to pull up the plug and the coating. Technicians then determine if the failure was adhesive or cohesive.
In both adhesion tests, Contego received a perfect score - Zero loss or 100% adhesion. "You can't get better than that." -Tony Scott, VP of Contego. Using the ASTM D4541 standard, Contego offers 631 psi of pull test adhesion. The closest competitor shows half the adhesion Contego has, while most had one-third to one-fifteenth of Contego's strength.
Contego intumescent acrylic copolymer latex paint offers the very best in fire protection on virtually any surface. In addition to providing a fire barrier, Contego protects surfaces from other harsh elements and moisture while giving buildings an attractive - and cost effective - finish. It's Contego's advances in adhesion that make it a superior product. More than any other company in this market, Contego continues to evaluate and select additives to give its paint improved adhesion properties, while maintaining its smooth-looking finish, keeping it ecologically friendly and VOC free. In tune with big changes in intumescent technology and global initiative to build and maintain a better, safer environment, Contego intumescent fire barrier products are all non-toxic and safe for pets, children and applicators.
