IMPORTANT GASTITE ANNOUNCEMENT:
| |

Dear Valued Customer,
Given the continued growth in demand for our FlashShield metallically shielded black (conductive) jacketed Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST), Gastite is announcing its plan to shift its production capacity and 100% of its U.S. distribution to what the market has been asking for, the very best and only metallically shielded conductive CSST product currently available on the market, FlashShield.
A complete market conversion to FlashShield will be carried out regionally over the next 6 months, commencing with the South Central Region.
Gastite's FlashShield team is prepared to assist marketers through this process and will be available to provide the necessary training and certification. Certification classes will be offered, and you can request one of our sales representatives to conduct Flashshield certification training at your location. If you already possess certification for the original yellow Gastite CSST; it is simple to upgrade your certificate to include Flashshield. Just visit www.gastite.com and under the "Get Certified" link, choose "FLASHSHIELD UPGRADE CERTIFICATION. As you know, attention to training and certification is very important as installation requirements of FlashShield, while simple, are different than that of both standard CSST and other manufacturers' black (conductive) product.
We thank you for your ongoing support of Gastite as it continues to supply the market with the best conductive CSST product available anywhere.

FLASHSHIELD Upgrade Certification
| |
Were you once CERTIFIED to install Yellow Gastite CSST? And now you want to start installing Flash Shield Enhanced Protection, the only CSST to meet both LC1024 and LC1027 standards for performance. You will need to UPGRADE your certification for Flash Shield and YOU CAN do that ONLINE! READ MORE BELOW.
Flash Shield is the industry's only metallically shielded CSST, FlashShield outclasses the competition by far surpassing the level of lightning protection required by LC1024. The metallically shielded system dissipates electricity and heat and two semi-conductive polymer jackets surround the layer of metal mesh for extra protection. Jacket-Bite™ fittings provide continuity with the metal mesh and NO additional manufacturer bonding is required; but you should meet all bonding requirements from regulatory codes and local AHJ's.
It is simple, to upgrade your original Gastite training certificate to include FlashShield™? Complete the following training about the differences between standard Gastite CSST and FlashShield tubing.
NOTE: Only certified Gastite installers may use this module to upgrade to FlashShield.
Here is how to get FLASHSHIELD UPGRADE CERTIFICATION training online:
- Go to www.gastite.com
- Choose the Technical Resources Tab at top of page
- Use the drop down menu and select Get Certified
- Choose FLASHSHIELD UPGRADE CERTIFICATION

Joke of the Month
I left for work early one Friday afternoon, and instead of going home, however, I squandered my weekend (and my paycheck) partying with the boys.
When I finally returned home on Sunday night, I ran into a barrage of epithets from my wife. After a couple of hours of nagging and berating, my wife asked, "How would you like it if you didn't see me for a couple of days?!?"
"That would suit me just fine!!" I said.
Monday went by, and I didn't see my wife. Tuesday and Wednesday went by with the same result. Come Thursday, the swelling went down a bit and I could see her a little, just out of the corner of my left eye.
Happy Halloween!
Trick or treat, smell my feet. Give me something good to eat. If you don't, I won't be sad. I'll just make you wish you had!
* * * * *
A pharmaceutical rep was delivering a new plastic skeleton to the doctor's office. As she waited at the main desk she was aware that the waiting room full of patients was staring at her. So she smiled and said," I am bringing him in to doctor Henderson."
An old lady said sympathetically, "My dear! Isn't it a bit late for the doctor?"
* * * * *
A vampire bat came flapping in from the night covered in fresh blood and parked himself on the roof of the cave to get some sleep.
Pretty soon all the other bats smelled the blood and began hassling him about where he got it. He told them to knock it off and let him get some sleep but they persisted until finally he gave in.
"OK, follow me," he said and flew out of the cave with hundreds of bats behind him. Down through a valley they went, across a river and into a forest full of trees. Finally he slowed down and all the other bats excitedly milled around him. "Now, do you see that tree over there?" he asked. "Yes, yes, yes!" the bats all screamed in a frenzy. "Good," said the first bat, "Because I DIDN'T!"
