PARAFOUR INNOVATIONS:
Introduces Two NEW Fuel Management System offerings!
| - ParaFUEL-Fleet, is a integrated fuel management system with the RFID Reader installed inside Parafour P4 dispensers.
- Petro Vend PV100, a stand-alone system for small fleets

1) ParaFUEL-Fleet
ParaFUEL-Fleet is a comprehensive fuel management system, which can be used as either a private fleet fuel management system, or as a general retail fuel sales management and control system. The RFID reader can be installed inside the head of most Parafour P4 dispensers; not requiring a separate standalone card reader. The ParaFUEL-Fleet POS Console package includes a console computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, card/FOB encoder/reader, internal communications module, and ParaFUEL software. The system DOES require a data cable connection between each dispenser and the Site Controller, installed in the facility building. The ParaFUEL system consists of 2 main subsystems:

1. The User Interface System mounted in the dispenser for convenience and interfacing with the dispenser computer, through the Site Controller.
2. The Site Controller, which communicates with, and controls both the User Interface Module and the dispenser calculating computer, with the ParaFUEL software and database.
The system is activated by an RFID device, registered to the ParaFUEL database, by simply waving in front of the RFID icon on the main display.
Options for vehicle/driver ID include:
1. RFID Card (Similar in size and shape to a credit card)
2. RFID keychain FOB or tag, similar to a memory stick
3. Both can be labeled or marked for ID by the user
2) PETRO VEND PV100:
Petro Vend 100 (PV100) Fuel Control System is a stand-alone, pedestal-mounted system for small or mid-sized fleet-fueling sites that require one or two-hose control. As a "turnkey system" the unit is designed for quick and easy installation. It ships ready-to-use with 50 pre-configured users and requires only power, and hose control line connections in order to initiate system operation. The PV100 stores dispensed fuel amounts as card and pump-specific totals, which can be viewed on the display or retrieved with an external USB flash drive for transfer to a local computer. A great solution for small fleets of a single department, at a very competitive price and pre-configured for installation with P4-series dispensers. Petro Vend 100 controls up to two hoses.
FEATURES:
- User selects PINs, from 3-6 digits in length, allowing only authorized users to access fuel
- Monochrome graphic display
- Optional dual-head magnetic card reader
- Optional USB flash drive for transaction storage
- Allows you to adjust programming parameters, view card and pump totals, and transfer all data to a USB flash drive via Manager Card access in on-screen manager mode
- Field upgradeable software
- Track & report fueling by card or pump totals (specific transaction data optional)
- Menu-driven configuration takes place at the terminal, eliminating the need for PC-required software
- Saves the expense of trenching and pulling wires for serial communications
- Standard memory allows tracking of up to 50 proprietary cards, expandable to 250 cards

Installation Performance Troubleshooting
Bypass Valve Setting Importance
| |
Recently we have fielded a number of calls on performance issues of HDP Autogas pumps of all makes and models. One of the most common installation issues, has been undersized pump bypass lines back to the tank.
The traditional cylinder filling pumps have flow rates in the 2.5 to 11 gallons per minute (GPM) range. And a large number of these pump systems used 5/8" copper tubing for the bypass line back to the tank.
WHICH is the issue we are finding in the field today with many of the HDP Autogas pump installations. Installers are using 5/8" copper lines for the bypass to tank lines and creating additional differential pressure issues with that restrictive size line.

The HDP Autogas pumps have flow rates (depending on models) in the 8.5 to 34 gallon per minute range; significantly higher and requiring larger bypass lines to prevent additional differential pressure to the system.
A large number of dispenser sites using the mid-sized HDP Autogas pumps installed with the manufacturer recommended bypass valve; are installed with undersized bypass lines back to the tank which are causing higher than bypass valve factory setting differential pressures.
In one example the installation included a manufacturer recommended bypass valve with a factory setting of 150PSI differential; which was installed with 5/8" copper line for the bypass back to the tank. When tested, this system was showing a differential pressure 15 psid higher than the factory setting due to the restriction caused by the undersized bypass line. In this particular installation the excessively high differential pressure exceeded the pumps maximum design and was causing the pump to cavitate under normal operation. The recommended solution would be to replace the undersized copper bypass line with 3/4" schedule 80 pipe or an alternative solution would be to re-adjust the bypass setting to reduce the actual differential pressure to 150 psid or less (recommend 120-140 psid) from the effective 165psid.
It is recommended that the mid-sized model HDP pumps (LGL156 & FF/DLF075) of HDP Autogas pumps utilize a minimum of 3/4" schedule 80 pipe bypass to tank line.
AND REMEMBER, on every pump installation, you should test and set the actual system differential pressure according to manufacturer's guidelines.

 NEW RegO Product
8530/AA8530 Series ASME Rated Delta Port Relief Valve Manifolds
| |
NEW from RegOŽ 8530/AA8530 Series ASME Rated Delta Port Relief Valve Manifolds. This relief can be used on tanks with relief valve openings with a 2 inch NPT threaded connection. Now a solution for tanks you want to replace relief valves on when they don't have a flanged opening for a Multi-Port relief assembly and without having to evacuate the tank.

Application
Designed especially for use as a primary relief device on large stationary pressurized storage containers, the base is supplied with a two inch NPT threaded container connection. These manifolds incorporate an additional relief valve, not included in the flow rating, allowing for servicing or replacement of any one of the relief valves without evacuating the container. The hand-wheel on the manifold selectively closes off the entrance port to the relief valve being removed while the remaining relief valves provide protection for the container and its contents. All manifold flow ratings are based on flow through the relief valves after one has been removed for service or replacement.
