On January 2, President Obama signed legislation which included provisions to retroactively reinstate the 25C tax credits for highly efficient HVAC and water heating equipment that expired at the end of 2011.

Specifically, the bill extends the tax credits that expired in 2011 from  January 1, 2012, until December 31, 2013, for qualified equipment listed in Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code. Because the credits were made retroactive to January 1, 2012, they can be used for qualified equipment that was installed any time after December 31, 2011 thru December 31, 2013.

How does this apply to Rinnai products?

• All current Rinnai tankless water heaters with an energy factor of at least 0.82 qualify for the $300 Federal Tax Credit.

What does this mean for you?

• If your customer purchased a qualified Rinnai tankless water heater between January 1 - December 31, 2012, they are still eligible to claim the $300 tax credit.
• If your customer purchases a qualified Rinnai tankless water heater between January 1 - December 31, 2013 they are eligible to claim the $300 tax credit.

How do you claim your Federal Tax Credit?

• Download and save the Manufacturer's Certification Statement along with a copy of your proof of purchase.
• When filing your taxes, use IRS Form 5695. Consult a tax professional for further details.

In 2004, Blackmer® introduced One-Year Performance Assurance  Warranty for LGL pump, bypass valves and LB Reciprocating Compressor models - LGL, TLGL, LG, BV and LB reciprocating compressors. In short, the Performance Assurances states that if a pump, bypass valve or compressor fails within the first year, regardless of cause (except for intentional or gross misuse), Blackmer will provide free replacement components in order to help return the pump to new/original performance. The value of the replacement parts is up to the cost of a new replacement pump or compressor. The program has been very successful due to the quality and high performance of Blackmer products.

Worldwide, there are several competitive copies of Blackmer equipment. Blackmer believes that none of these copies can match Blackmer's quality.

To further emphasize the quality of Blackmer's LPG pumps and compressors, the Warranty and Performance Assurance are being lengthened and enhanced. Effective January 31, 2013, the standard warranty on LPG pumps is now forty-eight (48) months from installation or fifty-four (54) months from purchase. The Performance Assurance Warranty will be extended from one (1) year to two (2) years from installation or thirty (30) months from purchase with the same intent of covering a failed pump, basically with no questions asked.

PLEASE NOTE: For the Two Year Performance Assurance to be valid, a Blackmer Pump Warranty Registration must be supplied to Blackmer via web registration or postcard.

A recent graduate of Kansas State University, Margaret holds a degree in Marketing, a secondary degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, and a minor in Agricultural Economics.  Margaret grew up in the retail propane industry; her grandparents founded Baer Gas and Electric in the 1950's in Riley, Kansas, and her parents and uncle still operate the retail business today.  With a strong retail background, Margaret knew that she belonged in the propane industry.
