Suffolk University Law School

2017 Legal Summer Intern Program

Every summer, hundreds of Suffolk law students make valuable contributions to law firms, corporations, government entities, non-profit organizations and the judiciary by working as summer law clerks/interns.  We invite you to benefit from our student's 21st century legal training, talent, energy and enthusiasm by participating in our 2017 Legal Summer Intern Program.

Summer law positions are full-time summer jobs for a minimum of eight weeks. Participating employers may specify any requirements (year in law school, prior coursework), require any supporting materials in addition to a resume (cover letter, transcript and writing sample), and choose to receive applications either on Thursday, January 19, 2017 (Collection 1) or Thursday, March 2, 2017 (Collection 2) to accommodate individual hiring schedules. Government and non-profit employers may post unfunded positions and students may apply for financial assistance through the Law School.

Participating employers will receive all student applications at once and should call the Office of Professional & Career Development (PCD) with the names of students selected for interviews. PCD will notify the selected students and have them contact you directly to schedule an interview. If desired, PCD will assist employers with scheduling and hosting interviews at the Law School.

Please indicate your participation by completing the 2017 Legal Summer Intern Program Registration Form or log onto Suffolk's Career Management Database (Symplicity- click on the OCI tab, then the "Request Schedule" button and select your desired application date (Collection 1 or 2) from the "Select Session" dropdown box.

Thank you in advance for your participation and please contact us if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance.

Sincerely,
