- Join the MBA and the Judicial Administration Section Council for MBA's A View From the Bench Series: Appellate Practice on Wednesday, December 3 from 4:30 to 6:00pm with a reception to follow. This program will take place at the U.S. District Court-Central Division (Harold D. Donohue Federal Building & Courthouse) in Worcester. Details and registration information are available online.
- SULS's Journal of High Technology Law and the Sports and Entertainment Law Association will present Copyright Battles Over Digital Music Royalties with David Herlihy, Esq. on Wednesday, December 3 at 6:00pm in room 495F. - The New Lawyers Section of the BBA is offering Developing and Refining Your Elevator Pitch as part of their professional development breakfast on Thursday, December 4 from 8:30 to 9:30am at the BBA, 16 Beacon Street, Boston. Join them as they learn what elements make for a great elevator pitch and develop yours to highlight your skills and objectives, or refine an existing pitch to add some professional polish. RSVP

The BBA presents Polish Your Public Speaking Skills on Friday, December 5 from 12:30 to 1:30pm at the BBA, 16 Beacon Street, Boston. The BBA welcomes voice and performance instructor Celia Slattery to share tips and techniques for more effective presentations and public speaking. RSVP

Diversity Announcements
- Join old friends and meet new ones at the BBA Diversity & Inclusion Section's Second Annual "Mix and Mingle" Holiday Reception on Thursday, December 11 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the BBA. There will be tasty hors d'oeuvres, delectable deserts, festive drinks and fun networking for all. RSVP
- The ABA Business Law Section announces their 2015 Business Law Section Diversity Clerkship Program. Up to nine law students from diverse backgrounds are placed in summer business court clerkships around the country. The selected clerks will receive a stipend to cover living expenses for the duration of the 8-week clerkship and an all-expense paid trip to the September 2015 Section Annual Meeting in Chicago. Review the details and access the application on their website. The application deadline is Friday, December 26, 2014.
- Evan as Native nations achieve greater levels of self-determination, Indian Country continues to be influenced by U.S. federal law and policy. The Udall Internship places students in Senate, House, and federal agency offices to learn firsthand how the U.S. government works with Native nations. Interns will gain a better understanding of the government to government relationship and how they can use this knowledge on behalf of their tribes. 2015 program dates are May 28 through August 1. More information can be found on their website. Applications must be postmarked by January 31, 2015.

Application deadline is NEXT WEEK! Bidding is now open for the MLSC Government & Public Interest Interview Program to be held at Suffolk on January 26 and 27. An updated list of interviewing employers is available in the Document Library on the Suffolk Symplicity site - five new interviewing employers were added last week. If you are interested in applying ("bidding") for a position with an employer INTERVIEWING at the program, you must upload your documents (resume, cover letters, transcript, references, writing sample) to the MA Consortium Symplicity site (NOT the Suffolk site) and bid for employers by noon on Thursday, December 4.
