 THIS SUNDAY - Mission Connection
Jeff Lander: "A Place to Belong, A Place to Become"
9 AM Sunday, January 13th in the Fireside Room
 | | Jeff Lander & Family |
The Lander family came to Children of the Nations (COTN) in 2007, after Jeff served as a youth, children's and families pastor for 13 years in New England and the Pacific Northwest. Over the last five years at COTN, Jeff has served as a Venture Coordinator, Venture Team Manager and Venture Director.
He will share a presentation that describes:
- Our Story - How God Called Us to COTN
- Their Story - How God Cares for The Children of COTN
- Your Story - How God Creates Opportunities for People Like You to Change a Life
"We're passionate about children and families, that's why we're here! What a great opportunity to make a lasting impact in long-term, transformational ministry!" said Jeff.
Today, Jeff serves in two director roles:
- Venture Director for COTN-USA Jeff uses his last five years of experience in sending people overseas to mobilize individuals and their God-given resources to support the vision to raise children who transform nations. Through the sending of short-term missionaries and interns, COTN can really impact both children in our care and the very people who travel overseas! What an exciting place to impact multiple people groups all for the glory of God!
- Spiritual Care Director - COTN-INTERNATIONAL: In the coming months ahead, Jeff will be giving half of his time to the important role of Spiritual Care Director, a role that he has been praying about taking on for over a year. The role carries with it the important work of helping each country develop both spiritual formation and evangelism opportunities within their own cultural context. Over the coming years, this role will ultimately assist each country in its efforts to raise children who will spiritually transform nations!
Jeff said, "I realized that over the last 20 years of my life, I've devoted my career and full attention to care for the broken and hurting lives of children, youth and families. People long to be valued and have meaningful relationships. That's why we are a part of this incredible ministry...rescuing and restoring the lives of thousands of children in Africa and the Caribbean. Ultimately, these children are no longer orphaned...they belong!"
