Wellspring Ministry
|
Wellspring (Wellness Ministry) will start a new session 6-7:30 PM Tuesdays, beginning January 8th in the Fireside Room.
Honor and care for God's temple. When others are struggling to keep their resolutions, we will be learning and exploring the concepts that will equip us to formulate lifetime habits re: the care and management of our physical bodies. Topics will include nutrition, eating to honor our body, stress management, hydration, sleep hygiene and habits, a fitness system that you can live with, and more. While this is much more than a "weight loss" class, a common side effect of gaining wellness is losing weight! For those of you who participated in the fast, this is a wonderful adjunct to continue your journey to greater spiritual awareness, honoring God with your body, and retaining the healthy gains that you may have enjoyed as a result of the fast. CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH US
Click this photo for the schedule of events at PBF celebrating Christ's birth.
We've added an extra service at 6:30 PM! Are you willing to help us welcome the 700-plus worshipers we expect on Christmas Eve? We need some extra hands at every service to help things run smoothly. We would like assistance with the following:
- Caring for children in the Nursery (5 & 6:30 only)
- Serving as Parking Attendant between services
- Greeting guests and distributing programs
- Ushering guests, and helping them find seats
- Hosting the Welcome Desk between services
- Distributing and collecting candles
If you can help, please email HERE or tammi.keffer@peninsulabible.org Indicate which service you can help and which service you plan to attend. THANKS! Invite others to attend Christmas Eve with you! We have small invitations available at the entrances this Sunday and at the Welcome Desk. Most new visitors come to a church because someone invited them. Please ask others to "come and see."

Bring a friend, a comfy outfit, and you can even wear your winter jammies to a morning of classic Christian Christmas stories and treats.

Thanks for your support of Angel Tree
During the past week, eight families including 18 children benefited from your donation to the Angel Tree ministry. Every year, PBF ministers to local children who have one or both parents imprisoned. Last week, each child received a Bible, an article of clothing and a toy for Christmas. Each family also received a food basket and gift cards to Safeway. For some of the families, this was their only source of Christmas gifts. "Every family was very appreciative," said Children's Ministry Director Tonya Kipple, who delivered the packages. Thanks to all the members of the PBF Family for their generosity. Thanks also to Micah Kipple and Kelsey Kim for their assistance delivering the gifts.

Appreciation from the David Reed family
David completed radiation treatment for his brain tumor, and has returned home with nursing care. His family sincerely appreciates all the care given to them by the PBF family. They have received meals, treats and gift cards for food dozens of times since David was diagnosed. They are now adjusting to their new normal and feel ready to take a break from the meal support. They promise to let us know if their situation changes and they need help in the future. Thanks to everyone for giving such care to this family.
