Help kids in our area, donate to Angel Tree
Every year, PBF ministers to local children who have one or both parents imprisoned. This year we have 20 children to serve by purchasing Christmas gifts in the name of the imprisoned parent. Three gifts will be purchased for each child: A Bible, Christian story book or devotion book; an article of clothing; and a toy. In addition, every family will receive a food basket.
On December 2nd, an Angel Tree will be set up in the main foyer. You may pick an angel off the tree and buy the gift that is listed for that angel. Or, you may choose a basket off the tree and fill this as a food basket for a family. Baskets may be supplemented with Safeway gift cards. Please do not take any angel or basket off the tree without letting Tonya Kipple know. All gifts are due back at the church no later than December 9th. Gifts will be delivered before Christmas. Questions? Call Tonya Kipple at 360-692-6549 ext. 15.

Celebrate Jesus' Birthday Party
Bring a baby gift for Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 2nd to either service! We ask children in grades kindergarten through two to bring baby-oriented gifts to be donated to Pregnancy Resource Services, who support women in crisis pregnancy situations. We ask that gifts be wrapped in GIFT BAGS rather than boxes to ease the distribution later. If you have questions, call Cyndie Deare at 360-271-2032. Children will bring the gifts to the front of the sanctuary before being dismissed to their classes. Parents, this is a great opportunity to allow your children to experience the joy of giving. You may consider letting your children do extra chores to earn money for this special gift. Gift suggestions include:
- Bibs
- Bottles
- Pacifiers
- Lap pads & burp cloths
- Baby scissors
- Baby shampoo
- Rattles and soft toys
- Receiving blankets
- Crib sheets
- Sleepers (2T-4T)
- Onesies (S,M,L)
- Baby lotion and bath soap
- Baby towels & washcloths
- Toddler socks
- Baby wipes
- Baby clippers
- Disposable diapers size 3,4 & 5

The fast is finished! Time to celebrate!
Congratulations to everyone who completed the fast, as well as those who had the courage to begin the journey. On Sunday afternoon, about 100 people in the PBF family -- from toddlers to those in their 90s -- took the time to package meals for those in the Dominican Republic who receive support from COTN. They are the same meal packs many of the fast participants ate themselves. The event was covered Monday on the front page of the Kitsap Sun. For photos from our own slideshow, go here . Or click on the photo below. If you participated in the fast, be sure to pick up a commemorative bookmark at the welcome desk this week after either the Thanksgiving or Sunday services. They highlight verses from Psalm 145. We would love it if you stored this bookmark in your Bible, to help you remember one day what you achieved physically, emotionally and spiritually on this fast. Those of you who have commented on the fast mentioned that you lost an average 8 pounds, and that you gained greater understanding about your relationship with food, appreciation of the bounty that you enjoy every day, empathy with the impoverished, improved friendships with others in the congregation, and a strengthened reliance on God's provision. Thanks for bravely participating!
