Help kids in our area donate to Angel Tree
Every year, PBF ministers to local children who have one or both parents imprisoned. This year we have 20 children to serve by purchasing Christmas gifts in the name of the imprisoned parent. Three gifts will be purchased for each child: A Bible, Christian story book or devotion book; an article of clothing; and a toy. In addition, every family will receive a food basket.
On December 2nd, an Angel Tree will be set up in the main foyer. You may pick an angel off the tree and buy the gift that is listed for that angel. Or, you may choose a basket off the tree and fill this as a food basket for a family. Baskets may be supplemented with Safeway gift cards. Please do not take any angel or basket off the tree without letting Tonya Kipple know. All gifts are due back at the church no later than December 9th. Gifts will be delivered before Christmas. Questions? Call Tonya Kipple at 360-692-6549 ext. 15.

Celebrate Jesus' Birthday Party
Bring a baby gift for Jesus on Sunday, Dec. 11th to either service! We ask children to bring baby-oriented gifts to be donated to Pregnancy Resource Services, who support women in crisis pregnancy situations. We ask that gifts be wrapped in GIFT BAGS rather than boxes to ease the distribution later. If you have questions, call Cyndie Deare at 360-271-2032. Children will bring the gifts to the front of the sanctuary before being dismissed to their classes. Parents, this is a great opportunity to allow your children to experience the joy of giving. You may consider letting your children do extra chores to earn money for this special gift. Gift suggestions include:
- Bibs
- Bottles
- Pacifiers
- Lap pads & burp cloths
- Baby scissors
- Baby shampoo
- Rattles and soft toys
- Receiving blankets
- Crib sheets
- Sleepers (2T-4T)
- Onesies (S,M,L)
- Baby lotion and bath soap
- Baby towels & washcloths
- Toddler socks
- Baby wipes
- Baby clippers
- Disposable diapers size 3,4 & 5

So how did fasting go for you?
The fast is nearly done! We have heard it has greatly affected many of you. Some of you gained greater empathy with the poor. Some of you gained greater trust in God. And some of you gained roomier clothes because you lost weight. Pastor Brent wants to hear all about it and share some of what you learned with others in the congregation. With that in mind, please take our survey. Make sure to click through the four questions after entering your name. In fact, you don't really have to enter your name at all, just share how this fast has made a difference in your life.
And remember, we will be putting all that money we saved to work for the people of the Dominican Republic by packing thousands of meals for them at 4 PM this Sunday in the sanctuary. Children are MORE than welcome, in fact they are usually wonderful help at these packing events according to COTN organizers. Bring the whole family to this event! And we would love to see everyone participate, even those who didn't take part in the fast. See more here.
Finally, share thanks and pie this Wednesday night at our Thanksgiving Eve service. Bring a pie to share!

David Reed HOME and his family needs TLC
David Reed, a child in our congregation, was diagnosed with a brain tumor la st summer. The big news on David this week: he has come home from the hospital! David has completed radiation treatments. Although he is not cured, he is now able to return to familiar surroundings. The family is thrilled, but face new challenges as they adjust to caring for David on their own with some nursing care support. If you would like to provide a meal, please call their TLC coordinator Terri Babcock at 360-620-7446. If you would like to participate, please check the online calendar here or email Terri at seabacknana12@gmail.com To check the care assistance planner established for them online, type "terribabcock" in the CaringBridge support planner login.
