Dear Friends,
It has been more than 20 years since the legendary Gleannloch Farms passed into history. The Pyramid Society's 2014
Egyptian Event will pay tribute to the Marshalls and Gleannloch Farms in honor of their immeasurable contribution to the Arabian breed in general, the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse in particular and the development of The Pyramid Society which has become a powerful influence in the global Arabian horse community.
Although the influence of the horses bred by Gleannloch Farms is felt around the world, no historical book has yet been published about this legendary farm. Now, however, The Pyramid Society is engaged in the publication of Gleannloch Farms: The Legend and the Legacy.
Editors Judith Forbis and Cynthia Culbertson are working with Project Coordinator Kent Mayfield to compile a thoughtfully textured mix of anecdotes and personal recollections of those who knew the Marshalls and their remarkable horses, authoritative historical narratives and scholarly analyses of the impact of the Gleannloch breeding program, and a gallery of unforgettable art and photography. Publication is scheduled to coincide with the Egyptian Event in June.
This historical book promises to nurture breeders and students of the Egyptian Arabian horse today and for years to come. We invite you to be a part of it by giving your financial support to this extraordinary undertaking.
Each donor will be listed by name, farm name, city, state and country in the book itself and will receive a handsomely bound copy of Gleannloch Farms: the Legend and the Legacy. Three levels of underwriting, including the special advantages of each, postage paid, are as follows:
- $750: Benefactor (Book, numbered collector's edition in premier custom-designed presentation box, book mark and plate)
- $350: Patron (Book, firm-sided book sleeve, book mark and plate)
- $150: Sponsor (Book, book mark and plate)
Your generous support at any level will carry forward the legend and the legacy of Douglas B. and Margaret Cullen Marshall and Gleannloch Farms.
