Omni Arabians' Open House Is A Success!
Debra Geiser of Dara Meadows Farm in Lexington, VA, recaps last month's open house, hosted by Omni Arabians...
Debra writes, "On a sunny but chilly day in April, Egyptian aficionados gathered at Omni Arabians in Gettysburg, PA to enjoy a day of education and socializing."
Pyramid Society Membership Committee members Polly Schaefer and Debra Geiser planned a fun afternoon and provided lunch for a group of over thirty eager attendees. After everyone had eaten their fill of sandwiches and cookies, Dr Hunt of Mason-Dixon Equine and long time veterinarian at Omni, spoke on the trials and tribulations of breeding the "problem" mare...
Following Dr. Hunt's presentation, Steve Dady, owner and head trainer at Omni, brought out two lovely yearlings and demonstrated some halter training techniques. The wind was howling by this time but the two horses behaved very well and showed the results of having been patiently and professionally schooled.
We all will look forward to seeing these babies make their debut at the Egyptian Event. After a presentation of a few of the stallions standing at Omni, everyone began saying their goodbyes with lots of promises to meet again in Lexington in June.

"We had 63 Harleys coming down the lane," she writes, "Each Harley had mostly couples, so it was a huge group. They were business people that belong to this HOG (Harley Owners Group), and they were all delightful. Most had never seen a Straight Egyptian, nor a baby horse. They LOVED it!"
